  1. I'm jealous! Is that a Sierra you're paring it with?
  2. That IS "so freakin' awesome"! What a beauty. I'd be shaking for a few days after that one! BTW, I love the word dad-gummit. But as a northerner, I don't think it rolls out quite as naturally. ?
  3. Definitely true. But they also can feel any disturbance/vibration in the water from prey/predators with their lateral line as well. They also can 'hear' to a certain extent. Both are important when they live in water with little to no visibility.
  4. Going a week or two without being able to fish is hell. You live in California where you can fish year 'round. I live in Wisconsin where I can't. Therefore, I don't feel sorry for you. Not even a little. Not one iota. Not even in the slightest. Not even a tiiiiiny smidge!
  5. No, I bought that reel in 2017. It's the first gen Concept C and it's an amazing reel. I think it came out in 2014. Weighing in at only 6.1 oz, it was kind of ahead of it's time. I haven't tried the gen 2 yet, but everything I read/hear says the gen 1 is the better reel. Haven't used that particular rod, but I'd guess jerkbaits, smaller topwater. If the tip is faster finesse jigs. 1/4 oz chatterbaits.
  6. God I loved Farley.
  7. Received my Midway USA open box purchase. 13 Fishing Envy Black. 7'6 H. $375 rod for $140. Great deal. As others have said, absolutely nothing wrong with these open box rods.
  8. Gobies generally relate to the bottom of a body of water, scurrying along bottom. If you really wanna mimic one, I'd say the Dark Sleeper or a tube is a good place to start.
  9. Are you logged into your account? And you put in PREM25JUN? Make sure you aren't adding an "E" after JUN, which I did at first. Also, it's 25% off one item that's $100+, not cart total of $100+. If none of that is the issue, definitely call them.
  10. I got an email.
  11. For premium members, Omnia has 25% off one item that's $100+.
  12. Geeze! Who's your wife, Santa Claus??
  13. You beat me to it! He has the nerve to call others Gucci...?
  14. Here's a side by side of the swim jig and Shot Caller. Shot Caller is on the right. As Mike said, it's head is flatter/skinnier with a recessed line tie. To me it comes thru grass better than the swim jig.
  15. Love the Shot Caller! Black/Blue in 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz (depending on the depth I'm fishing) in stained/dirty water is my go-to. Clear water I like Bluegill or Bream. Can't go wrong with either. And definitely pay the little extra for wire tie collar. Sometimes I'll get crazy and throw something like this in the spring or where I know there's crawfish. I don't usually use rattles on swim jigs. The trailer you use will usually give off enough vibration when fishing dirty water. IMO at least...
  16. Nice. I have tried the 3" Pit Boss as a trailer on smaller, finesse jigs and just didn't care for it. You may have the right idea there!
  17. Omnia carries the Super Fluke in that color. Another new color I like is Ham Bone. I see TW carries it now.
  18. The Rocky Top Super Fluke has been killer this spring. That is a great color.
  19. If it's the site I'm thinking of, they have a crazy amount of colors for Zoom products. Including special color runs you don't see anywhere else. Zoom website has 40 different colors for the Super Fluke. This site has 130! I have noticed TW has added more Zoom colors this week, too. But not close to that amount.
  20. The Perfection Blue Fleck color you can get in the Pit Boss. I do so well with this color. Strangely, TW doesn't carry this color anymore.
  21. Got Burrito's little brother, Nacho. This thing should do well.
  22. Talked to someone the other day. Made it sound like new Mojo Bass may be coming.
  23. Yeah, sounds like I will be as well.
