Dang you, AliExpress Monkey! Edit- Is there a specific store? I type that in search and I see all kinds of random handles. I don't see anything with Ray's. Just other brands.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Thanks to @a1712 I placed my first order at AliExpress. Wish me luck! I used PayPal so I'm not worried. Both stores I bought from had really good reviews. Ended up getting another Tatula Elite and Curado 70 MGL. Paid $310 total (retail $500). Hard to beat that. But man, this could get dangerous. I spent the last 2 hours browsing handles, knobs, spools etc. They have the Tatula casting rods in split handle! Anybody ever order rods from AliExpress?

Nice. Have you gotten any of the 6th Sense Peco Minnows yet? Comes rigged with 4 replacement tails. And you can buy more tails for replacements or different colors. Here's a few of the nice colors they offer. 1.5".

Zodias or Exbride?
Both rods are amazing. Obviously if you can swing the extra dough, go Expride. I have both A and B models. The A's are outstanding. The B...just a masterpiece of a rod. Functionality and looks are top notch.

Thanks. I've never ordered from there so I don't know much about it. From things I've read since my post, it sounds legit as long as you go thru a reputable seller. How long in general is the shipping? I got the 7'1 MH last year and absolutely love it. I honestly doubt I would've given Savage Gear rods a shot had Matt Allen not spoken so highly of this rod. I always like trying out new stuff and I'm glad I did with this. The tip on the model I got is just different. It's a 'softish' tip for being an XF, but it shuts down FAST.

And it's 100% legit? It's not a Schimano Curadoo or something like that? And is it the US version or JDM?

Hmm. Have you bought Daiwa products from them in the past? I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Magdraft eye size?
Excellent. Thanks guys!

Magdraft eye size?
As most know, the eyes on the Magdraft's tend to come off pretty easily. I was looking to buy some bulk eyes off 6th Sense website, but not sure what size (in millimeters) Megabass uses for the 6" and 8". Anybody know by any chance? Also, has anybody tried smothering any Mend-It overtop the eyes out of the package? I wonder if that would work.

I'll be shocked and heartbroken of those Machete Minnow's don't look as amazing as I'm hoping. And they're made of a pretty tough plastic (especially for having salt content). They seem like they'll really hold up well.

Some re-stocks and a few new baits I've been wanting to try. The Strike King Scounbug looks like it's gonna be a winner. Nothing earth-shattering but I really like the slender craw design. After hearing all the hype about Bassman spinnerbaits I figured I'd give them a shot. They don't seem like anything special out of the package, so hopefully they perform better than they look. I'm always tinkering with different Chatterbait trailers, even tho there's already enough great ones out there. But these Pro Point Machete Minnow's really intrigued me. I bet they're gonna look great in the water.

Extra Fast Action
They list "jerkbaits", "weightless jerkbaits", "soft plastic jerkbaits" and "hard jerkbaits". Are they just trying to confuse people? ? Bunch of jerks.

The Pack Chunk and Grits Side sounds like baits you get off Wish.com. (NetBait does have some great soft plastics)

Rod recommendation…

Restocked on my main Fluke colors but decided to throw a few new colors into the mix. The Rocky Top color should produce. I had really good luck last spring with the 6th Sense Flush in the Baby Gill color, which is orange with some green pumpkin/watermelon color. The Bone color should be great, because, well...it's Bone. And the 3rd color is Pink Champagne. Never seen that color in Fluke before so figured I'd play around with it on my smallie lakes/rivers. Of the three I'm really liking the bone. Grabbed a few of the new YUM Hellgrammites. Planning on mostly ned rigging them. They're a little bigger than I anticipated, which I actually like.
