I just checked the owners manual for My Sol.... In fact, LBH has used his Tierra on the bay a few times without any problems. Not much difference between the two reels. Daiwa is coming out with a light duty saltwater reel in '09 can't wait to get ahold of this baby.

There's no ice yet... you should be out fishing. I just made a PB&J samidge.

I run an electric trolling motor (Thanx to my man Tin) I'm always down for whatever. Usually ready to go anywhere in a moments notice. I toss the boat in the bed of the truck and I'm gone. I fish almost every single weekend from ice out till Thanxgiving. 100% for fun, unless there's a cartopper tourney for bragging rights. My favorite Bass techniques are swimming a jig in open water, shakey heading, burning lipless crankbaits, and tossing soft plastics, creature baits etc. For saltwater I enjoy throwing bucktails, tins, wooden plugs (Danny's etc.)

Yo Dave. My Dad was into this for awhile. He had a 4' square wooden box in the basement. Almost like a compost box. For some reason I remember him putting shredded up newspaper as well as all the table scraps in there. I can get more info if you want...

Mild again in Rhode Island. No acorns two years in a row. 2005 was beyond ridiculous, I was shoveling acorns into the bed of my truck with a snow shovel. I have eight oak trees in my yard. It was bad... very very bad.

Alan, so far I've been burning through the gasoline trying to find these guys! I'm actually going out to where I caught my PB Largemouth today. Haven't been freshwater since September. I need the California Duster to clean my gear. 8-)
