  1. most will follow state and federal laws ... some organizations have a 12 inch minimum regardless of state laws. Here in Kentucky, spotted bass really have no legal length limit. some tournament organizations say a minimum of 12 inches on spots ... others make them be 15 inches like the LM and SM.
  2. Fill the livewell and close the valve to recirculete. fill plastic bottles with water ... freeze with the cap on. Use them in the livewell instead of ice so no clorine gets in the livewell water. Use a chemical like Rejuvenade, Bass Rx, or Please Release Me.
  3. I have been a member for nearly 20 years and I was not gonna renew .... BASS has really gone in the toilet since ESPN .... nothing for the weekend fisherman. They took my credit card number and renewed me automatically. Just another crooked business practice that makes me not want to be a member.
  4. You are right avid .... the list is pretty small. I am sure there are alot that can help and help themselves at the same time. Come on Y'all ...... step up.
  5. Bass Boat Saver for sure !!!
  6. Congrats Deb You had a better day than me yesterday !!!!
  7. Had a friend a few years back that ordered one .... waited months for it .... used it fro about 10 weeks and sold it. He said it fished like chit.
  8. I fish mostly on Kentucky Lake. much of the year, the only decent fishing is out on the ledges. I would hate to run 183 miles of lake trying to find ledges without a sonar. I do not ues mine to find fish, just structure. While I respect you people that fish by instincts, your instincts ain't gonna find you a ledge in 25 ft of water on Kentucky or Barkley.
  9. I use mine constantly. Always finding something new. Of course I fish Kentucky Lake and Barkley alot and you could never find everything there!!
  10. Bob ... I fish Senkos a lot. The gut hook is common if you don't have a rod sensitive enough to detect the light bite. When a fish bites a senko, he intends to eat it. I throw mine on a 7' 5" MH G Loomis senko rod. You have to feel the bite and lift up slightly often to detect if the senko feels "heavy". I use a 3/0 EWG Gamakatsu most of the time. Great bait. Good Luck, Greg
  11. I run a Trophy + ... great prop and couldn't be happier. I know where you can get an awesome deal on one if you are interested, send me a PM
  12. Cowboy ... put a post on FLW's discussion board later in the fall before registration starts. Hell, I may go as a boater next year. Where ya from?
  13. Had a crankbait come flying at me and stuck a treble hook ... past the barb in my groin area. My buddy refused to help me remove it !!!!
  14. 25% alone - 75% with a partner Ranger 520 - 225 HO
  15. First are you planing on going as a boater or a co-angler?

I fish the BFL and Fishers of Men. I know in the BFL the live release rate is aroud 98 %. I believe Fishers of Men to be similar. In both cases the dead fish are cleaned and eaten so at least they are not totally wasted.
  17. This is my 2nd year in the LBL division. I have had a lot of fun .... cashed a few checks .... and learned a ton. I will continue to participate .... may switch to a boater next year. Get involved .... you won't regret it.
  18. Horrible ... they have a Federation angler who led a big part of day 2 and finised day 2 in the top 10 with NO coverage of him .... not enough $$$$$$. Also the Super Bowl of Bass Fishing showing at 10 PM?? D-
  19. I just read the other day where Skeet makes over 500K per year. He could afford to take the family and still get the kids schooled if he wanted to. I am sure it takes it's toll, but I have given up a lot with my family over the years for a heck of a lot less than 500k.
  20. Yes, you did open a huge can or worms! ..... for my money, it would be FLW hands down. I base this mainly on the fact that BASS has washed it's hands of almost everything important to the average guy. They have bailed on just about everything that doesn't get the TV time. They ticked off the federation people last year, and this year they have farmed out the weekend series and canceled the Bassmaster University. Been on a major decline since owned by ESPN. Most of the guys that haved fished both the BFL and BASS Weekend will tell you the the BFL/FLW is much better organized. Just my .02.
  21. RSBreth .... are you saying that BFL, Heartland, etc. anglers shouldn't be fishing ... they are just stroking their egos because they can afford the entry fee? I assume that you don't fish any of these events.
  22. I fish both team and draw tournaments ... some of the draw tourneys I fish as co-angler .... so far, I think draw partners follow the 80/20 rule. 80 % will be awesome guys .... 20 % will be a__holes.
