Pitchinkid ........... there is NO bar at the lodge ........... it is a DRY county ....... I posted this a few weeks back to warn everyone to bring their refreshments.

Mike ..... Deb says there is a very nice (as she remembers it) pavillion that might be of use .... beverages would have to be covered up ...... remember you are in a state park ...... right now we can't think of anything else ...... not saying there aren't other options .......... Deb's dad's house is 2 1/2 miles from the park .... it has a huge deck. He's not living there right now .... we are remodeling. Refreshments Welcome !!!

I have fished it for 14 years and the wife has fished it all her life ...... that's, ah well, better not tell you how long that is ! ;D

Kelley .... like CJ said, we haven't seen any mustard flower yet either. Shouldn't be long ...... they seem to just pop up overnight when they are ready. Good rain coming tonight ..... should help the lake come on up.

Lake level is at 356.0 this morning ... came up about 6 inches in the last 24 hours. With rains predicted this week, it should come up more. It might just make it to full summer pool or close by the time y'all get here

Thanks, around here it takes a dozen or so crappie for a one man meal. Hopin' i'm on to bigger and better things down there for at least one short crappie fishing tour.

I actually had to work today, so Deb and I only got out for an hour or 2. We did however find a few of these ....... and a few of these ..... Doesn't take long to have some fun ........

cart7t .... I'd plan on fishing jigs, tubes,and creature baits on the east side of the lake ... maybe some cranks .... they're hitting jerkbaits right now but that will be over by the time you get here.

Fluke ... summer pool is 359 .... we are currently at 355.6 and rising as of this afternoon. They are predicting 356 on Sunday. Greg

I've had one on the front and console of all my boats. Never had any problems and had always left them both on to entertain the co-angler.

I installed one in our Ranger .... it is awesome. I am a fat, old guy with back problems, but it has allowed me to stand up with no butt seat for 9 or so hours in a tournament. I believe it is safer also as you are standing flat footed and there is less sticking up to trip over on your deck. I have a Comfortroll.

Deb and I hit the lake for only 2 hours from 4 to 6 PM. Man the bite was on !!!!! We caught 25 or 30 fish .... we lost count ..... nothing huge, but great fast action. The best one was a brown fish. We had trouble with the cranking battery so we didn't stray too far from the ramp. Never saw the main lake !! What Fun !!!! BTW .... Deb caught the big brown fish ........ but I caught the most fish. Neither mattered, it was just great to get out there together!

I run XD100 synthetic and find a cleaner burn and have been told that it will eventually clean up your motor. I've always used it partly because I hate to decarb.

CJ .... we were headed out to do th same thing but got sidetracked and bought ANOTHER Harley !!! Deb felt the need to trade hers in ..... hope I dan't have to trade mine now just to stay ahead of her .... we're plannin on hittin the water tomorrow. Nice fish Man

They now have the technology to make progressive lenses in a wrap around stye like we need. I've had a pair for a couple of years now and love them. From experience, contacts don't work out too well in a bass boat. They dry out and fall out.

David .... my wife wants to know if you are planning on pulling a skier with that new trolling motor ?? ;D

David .... what in the world would you want with a 101 on a BassTracker ? I have one on a 21 ft Ranger and have never had it over 40 on the power dial even in high wind. If you do put it on, watch out if you step on the pedal with the motor turned up real high. It will dump you in the water !! Good Luck

Sorry Papa ..... I've never looked into rod holders .... can't help you there .....

Mostof the problems were with 97 and 98 Fichts. Also in particular the 150 hp engine and not the bigger motors. Modifications were made and corrected even the problem motors. .... I have a 2004 225HO Ficht and it is a fine motor. Enjoy your new rig .... R93 is a good boat

My truck was in the shop once and I towed a 21 ft Ranger with a 6 cyl Trailblazer 200 miles. No problems, like others have said be careful .... hopefully your new trailer will have brakes.

502 .... have your buddy explain why it has been taking 20 to 25 pounds of bass to win a tournament here on Kentucky Lake the last few weeks with water temps in the mid 40's

Ibelieve there are several places to do that at Kenlake. Snakes should be comin out about then ;D

Actually .... there was also a small 11 boat tournament that went out of Fenton. Directly accross the lake from Kenlake. Took over 25 lbs. 6 of the 11 boats hed over 16 lbs; and there were 6 fish over 6 lbs; weighed in ..... bite has been pretty darn good for the goofy weather.

We have 3 laptops ....2 Dells that we use everyday ..... 1 HP which is JUNK and stays in the case ..... it's full of pics we need to try to receive otherwise it would be in the landfill.
