  1. Had a crazy top water evening on a Whopper Plopper, best fish was a 24-1/2" Wiper and ended up catching around 20 fish that evening. Most of them were in the 20-23" size fish.
  2. I've been using U40 for years and it is a good product at a low cost. It is simple to apply and it works. Just make sure you don't accidentally leave the bottle in your cold/frozen garage in the winter. Don't ask how I know...
  3. This is one of my favorite Daiwa reels I own, Daiwa Tatula CT100HS CS. It is a import Tatula version and it just bombs a frog out there like no other. I wish I would of purchase half a dozen of them.
  4. I had a $20 gift card from my birthday last year so I ordered a few goodies. ?
  5. Sorry I specified the information and a link for the promo.
  6. I bought 2-Tatula 80. Mailing must be postmarked by June 30 2022. https://daiwa.us/pages/tatula-promo
  7. I know someone mentioned of these shirts if you purchased your reel out of country that they wouldn't be accepted, I received my Daiwa/Simms shirts yesterday. Both of my reels were purchased overseas.
  8. Caught this nice 20" fish early in the morning on a buzzbait along a rock jetty.
  9. I tried Real Magic once it made the line coil terribly, stick with KVD.
  10. I don't understand what you are asking? But I would not recommend a cheap combo of any kind to anybody that wants to enjoy fishing.
  11. I rarely miss a bite on a swim jig, I normally use a 3/8 oz swim jig along with whatever trailer I'm using. I spread the weed guards wider, I feel it helps on the hookup. I'm using a Medium Heavy rod with 15lb copolymer.
  12. Received my new Virtus Jewel Blue Diamond rod yesterday (Bladed Jig model). I have a Daiwa Tatula 80 installed on there.
  13. I usually use Trokar Weedless size 1 for most of my wacky rigs. I normally use the Bass Pro Stik-O worms since they have the closest weight/salt/fall rate as a Senko and you can get them cheaper. Then a normal wacky tool with 2 o-rings crossed/x pattern.
  14. I just buy my long sleeves on ebay, they are only $10-11 a piece. They are very lightweight and keep you as cool as you can be in the hot summer. They are thinner/lighter than some of the other brands and they've held up well over a few seasons.
  15. Just sell it and get a decent amount of your money back and try something else. The one nice thing with TW is the simple return if you don't like it and try something else.
  16. I've have a couple Powell crankbait rods that I have been very happy with.
  17. If you don't break one every now and then you aren't fishing in the right spots. ?
  18. I've been using mono for cranking along with a MH/Moderate Fast action rod. It works fine for me, I feel that mono will give a little stretch so the hooks don't rip out. I've just never have tried the idea.
  19. I ordered mine from Digitaka.
  20. I received email confirmation of my 2 Daiwa Tatula reels for the Daiwa/Simms promo today.
  21. Just about any soft plastic trailer, grub, craw, worm etc that you can put on a hook will work, different actions for all different baits. Last year a simple twin tail grub on a swim jig & bladed jig were killer for me last season.
  22. I'm gonna find out on the "Tatula Promo" I mailed my labels out a couple weeks ago. ?
  23. I don't own the Amistad but I used the Froggin/Pitchin model which specs are basically the same besides rod length. Very solid stick for sure, Falcon has great rods and amazing warranty.
  24. Daiwa Tatula CT, Shimano SLX MGL, Lews Speed Spool LFS
  25. 20% off Bass Pro brand plastics.
