  3. That is a good deal, I already bought 4 reels this season. Don't make me buy one more?
  4. I recently picked up Boss skirts on Tackle Warehouse sale. They have a large variety of colors to choose from. They'll do the job.
  5. Got a few goodies that I needed to restock. I can't wait til summer comes to test the new frogs.
  6. I'm surprised that they are just releasing these, I think they are a bit late to the party. I love the Bass Pro Stik-O they are a very good bait for a great price and they have variety of sizes/colors.
  7. I feel the plastic worm because it can be utilized/rigged in so many different ways and situations.
  8. I left a few rods a couple posts above that might be a few other choices at a lower price point that can get the job done also. It can depend on what your planning to spend $ wise also and what technique your looking to use. I've never used a St Croix rod so I can't give you my personal opinion. If you set on St Croix rod the specs on the Mojo Bass if you're looking at the MH models, it looks like just a bit difference between the 7-7'1, I think either would get the job done, just depends on what kind of lure/technique your planning to the rod for? 7' Med Heavy MJC70MHMF - Spinnerbait. A perfect rod for searching open water with big spinnerbaits for active fish. Lure Wt= 3/8-3/4oz 7'1 Med Heavy MJC71MHF - Jigs & Baits. A super versatile rod that’s perfect for searching open water with big spinnerbaits for active fish. It’s also ideal for jigs, worms and working heavy cover. Lure Wt=3/8-1oz
  9. Here are a few choices under $100.00. I tried the Bass X. I didn't like it at all, very tip heavy to me even with a reel mounted on the rod. Falcon BuCoo S 7' MH Trap Caster $69.99 shipped https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/falcon-bucoo-sr-rods?_pos=4&_sid=d1724f3fd&_ss=r Lamiglas XP Bass Rod XP704C $88.95 shipped https://www.lamiglas.com/collections/bass-rods/products/xp-704-c-jigs-spinnerbaits-jerkbait?variant=58876161995 I have the Lamiglas XP704C Bass Rod and it is a pretty nice rod, I paid $79.00 when I bought mine. Ark Lancer 7' Med Hvy $79.97 https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/catpage-ARKRODS.html?from=basres
  10. Ordered a Falcon BuCoo SR, scored for $59.99 shipped. I thought it was a good deal.?
  11. You'll be happy with the Sierra, I have 3 of them. Which model did you buy?
  12. I just purchased a few Boss skirts on the Friday sale, should arrive on Thursday to find out. The price for the skirts is $.56 each. I picked up some naked Shock Blades on sale + Friday sale that I'm gonna install my new skirts on them.
  13. I purchased one Quantum reel many years ago, unfortunately it lasted about a year. Hopefully they have improved the quality of them. The new Accurist S3 PT looks like pretty nice reel.
  14. I service my own reels and it isn't that hard of a job. I usually only do a full tear down service every other year. If you haven't had it very long I would just clean the body of the reel with a clean damp cloth, add a drop of oil in the bearings that are accessible and clean the grease off the worm gear with a q-tip and add a couple small dabs of Cal's reel grease. If you have no experience of servicing a reel or mechanic skills I would send it out for service.
  15. 16. Falcon BuCoo SR Rods on sale $69.99-$79.99 depending on model. Just throwing it out there if anyone need a rod on a good deal. I think if you sign up or have points with them you can get another $5-10 off also. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/falcon-bucoo-sr-rods?variant=15104310345774
  17. I would recommend any Diawa or Shimano because I've used both, I don't think you will go wrong with either. I have 4 of the Daiwa Fuego CT reels and I've been very happy with them. There are a lot of different brands/models you can find in that price range, find the one that is comfortable for you. Be ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving sales and find a good deal.
  18. I totally agree, I love my Fuego CT reels or keep an I out for the Bass Pro Qualifier sale.
  19. I just want to add that Costa has a great warranty. My Costa's were around 10 years old and the lens were delaminating. I contacted them about the issue, I just had to send my old pair back and a week later I had a new pair. I like to spend a little more for a better quality/warranty. It's worth it in my opinion.
  20. Some of my best producing baits are crankbaits, lipless crankbaits, spinnerbaits, bladed jigs. Those are some of my best producing baits in my arsenal. I've caught my largest fish & good numbers on all of these baits.
  21. Some Daiwa reels on sale at Sportsman's Outfitters. I picked up a Fuego Spinning reel since I just got a new spinning rod a couple weeks ago. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/daiwa-procyon-ex-or-fuego-lt https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/products/daiwa-tatula-100-baitcast-fishing-reel
