  1. -If you cork is dirty I use a magic eraser to clean the cork. Let it sit overnight to dry. -I use painters tape to cover any plastic edges and exposed blank areas near the edges. -I've used bristled brushes, but foam works also. With my bristle brush I just clean it off with soap & water when done using it, I just mark the brush with a sharpie (U40) and store it next to the cork sealer. That way I always have it together and re-coat in the winter when I'm not on the water. -Just clean up any drip as you go along, it doesn't take much so go easy with it so it isn't dripping off. The cork will darker once it dries. -After I've finished the rods I'll pull the tape after about an hour. -This is the darkened finish after applying U40.
  2. Spinnerbait always on deck. I think a spinnerbait was the first lure I was introduced into fishing.
  3. I'd go with at least a Med power w/Fast Action, probably 6'6" to 7'. If you end to use the smaller flukes I feel a spinning setup would be best. But if you're using a larger bait a bait caster would be fine.
  4. I'd say if it is free give it a try.
  5. 6'10-7'2 MH/F, would be good for Spinnerbaits/Chatterbaits.
  6. Smoking deal, I would of purchased all of them and resold for a profit.?
  7. I'm with you, my most expensive reel I have is $125.00. I don't think I would ever spend more than $200.00 on a reel or rod. I like quality equipment but that's out of my reasonable budget.
  8. Man if you have a Steez why would go to a lower model reel? I'm not saying a Fuego Ct is a bad reel but if have the money to spend on higher quality reels then why wouldn't you?
  9. I got the last one they had in stock. Local store.
  10. Purchased another Falcon BuCoo rod on sale, I picked up the 7'4" Heavy Swim Jig Rod for $69.99. I'm gonna have to get a bigger boat if I keep buying rods.
  11. I had several 10-20 fish outings with them last season. Gold/Black back. I always replace the hooks on them.
  12. I use one rod for spinnerbaits/chatterbaits, 7' Med/Hvy. I usually use 6:3:1 or 7:3:1. I have 5 Daiwa Fuego CT reels in my lineup that I've been happy with, but you have many choices out there.
  13. The only pair I've had/used is Costa's, I had them for a very long time. The lenses were starting to delaminate. I simply had to send them in for replacement and received a new pair & case. The service and replacement was easy, if I ever need to buy glasses again I know what brand I'm buying again.
  14. I have a tackle subscription, its called "Don't Tell Your Wife". I have a separate Paypal account so she doesn't know what I buy.
  15. I like having everything labeled, so I always know what I have in my bag. I have a majority of my tackle in this tackle bag. I can use my side pouches for plastics that I have the most confidence with. I also have these bags I can put my spinnerbaits/buzzbaits which are small and easy to haul with my bag.
  16. If it is new I would return/exchange it.
  17. A lot of people like the Plueger President spinning reels.
  18. They had a sale back in November, I think it was a 25% discount on a good amount of items. We'll see if they'll have another one this spring.
  19. I use them on crankbaits/rattle traps. I purchased mine on eBay, 100 pack under $5.00. I've never had an issue using them, I'll have enough of them for a couple decades.
  20. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Rapala_DT_Series_Crankbaits/descpage-RDT.html Rapala DT Crankbaits 25% off Tackle Warehouse.

I would say #1 or #2 for majority but may vary depending on lure/hook size. If you buying bulk size, look on ebay under $4 for a 100.
