  1. I've been using the Savage Gear 3D Floating Skirt Frog 2.75" and have doing pretty good so far with it. I've caught about 50-60 fish on them and have held up well. It has a pretty good side to side twitch action in a open pocket. I also use the Spro Bronzeye.
  2. My current most expensive setup is Daiwa Fuego CT w/Falcon Expert rod under $250.00. For me I wouldn't pay over $350 for a rod/reel setup. Most of my rod/reel setups were on sale or discount. I always feel that I spend more on my rods than I do on reels.
  3. Save your old ones for remelt or collect them from friends and do some remelt work. I think that would be your cheapest option, but if you're really wanting to get into it you're going to invest some money, time, supplies. There are so many people & companies that produce them I don't think it is really worth it. That's just my opinion, but if you want to do it for a fun hobby why not.
  4. - Frog - Buzzbait - Spinnerbait
  5. I always have one tied on in the morning & evening, I've had good success with them this season. I've been catching 10-20 fish a day the past few times out. Even last year I was catching fish on a buzzbait in the heat of the day.
  6. I have 4 of the Fuego CT and 1 Tatula 100, I would recommend both of them. They are both good performing reels.
  7. I tried out the Savage Gear 3D Floating Skirt Frog last week and would recommend it.
  8. I have 6:3:1 that I use on my crankbaits & 7:3:1 on everything else.
  9. I like using both, but I feel that the spinnerbait has the advantage of being more weedless than a stardard bladed jig.
  10. Shock Blade did well for me last season. Landed a 19" & 20" last fall.
  11. 7" Berkley Power Worm, Tequila Sunrise
  12. When you are trying to park your boat along the boat dock and there are 7 people fishing on the boat dock that says no fishing from boat dock.
  13. Black/Blue, Green Pumpkin, White mainly. Obviously according to your lake color choices may vary. For trailers I've used Craw Trailers, Creature baits, just about any plastic you want to put on there.
  14. I checked one of the Invoker Pro casting rod, I didn't like the micro guides on the rod, so I returned it.

  16. For $30.00 give it a try, I don't think you'll find a better deal for that price. If it lasts a couple years you won't be out nothing. Go catch some fish on it.?
  17. I don't know if you'll find a whole lot of spinning rod to throw a 4oz lure unless you're looking for off shore fishing rod.
  18. I'd probably go with Diawa Aird X or Shimano Clarus if you aren't looking to spend much.
  19. I like the Bomber Square A & Bandit 100 & Footloose. I always replace the hooks.
  20. I just use these storage totes with labels on the lid, I don't have a huge boat so I can just about put all my plastics in 2 of these storage totes. I just have them in one side of my boat compartment. I have most of them vertically in my totes so they are fairly easy to look through what I have.
  21. I think Falcon has a lot of great rod models/series. I think the BuCoo casting rods are one of the best bang for your buck rods out there. I'm just not a fan of the grey grip on them. I did just purchase my first Falcon Expert rod that I can't wait to get on the water with it.
  22. I've purchased a lot of rods/reels from them. Always quick shipping and never had a issue. I would recommend register for a account on their website, you may also get a $10 discount. You will save the tax charges if you buy direct instead of ebay. https://www.sportsmansoutfitters.com/
  23. They work, I smoked about 25 fish on the dam last season with the Gold/Black. Don't forget to replace the treble hooks.
  24. I always think it is spinnerbait time. If I don't have one on my rod you better check my pulse My first fish of the year started out with a spinnerbait about a month ago.
