Best rods for punching
I guess under 1oz could be a big variation between rods, I'd say figure what size jigs/flipping you're planning on using the most. Then figure what rod brand/specs are going to work out the best for you. You're going to have lots of choices out there to go through in that price point.

Braid on crankbait rod?
I just usually use regular mono or co-polymer on my crankbait setups, you'll see alot of variations just between line type/brands/amount of stretch etc. You can also add the rod to the whole situation.

I had to add a new rod to my collection, Falcon Expert "Frogginn/Pitchin" 6'11" Heavy. This rod feels really solid, I'll be rippin' them out of the slop. I have it paired up with Fuego CT 7.3.1. I have to say they look very aesthetically pleasing together. I also like that they have a lifetime warranty for this rod model.

Chrome baits-expensive to make?
- How big is your stick...........bait.
I'll use smaller 3-5" on wacky rig if they aren't as aggressive, I use alot of 6/7" on stick baits. Last season they really liked the larger 6-7" baits for me. I've been buying the Bass Pro Stik-O, they do the job for me. When they get ripped up and I'll repair them with Mend-It. Once I use them for the second time I'll do a complete re-melt and make new ones again.- Tackle Collection Size
I try to buy the lures that I have confidence and success with. I have 85% of my tackle in my one large tackle bag. Other then that I just keep my soft plastics 2 or 3 plastic totes in my boat. I have 7 combos and I can use them to fish all applications/situations. I'm not a tackle collector, I'm a tackle user- Falcon Expert Rod
Anybody that has this rod, is the rod blank black in color?- Fuji hook keeper questions
The Fuji ones are the way to go, best quality. I've tried the cheap ones and they don't cut it. I don't know if the cheap ones have every lasted 6 months. The Fuji ones will give you a long time of use/service.- Picasso Aaron Martens Shock Blade Tungsten Knocker
I have a couple of the undressed Shock Blades which I scored on TW on discount last fall. It looks like the difference's is the head design/blade type between the Shock Blade & the Shock Blade Pro. I like the regular Shock Blade, but there are more weight choices & colors now then last year. Shock Blade on top, Shock Blade Pro on bottom.- Picasso Aaron Martens Shock Blade Tungsten Knocker
I've used the regular shock blade before the Aaron Martens name was attached to the brand. I don't know if there is any differences between them and the Martens models. I caught a 19" & 20" last October on the same day with Black/Blue.- Who is the best/cheapest place to mail a rod through?
Take it to your local USPS/UPS/FedEx and have them get you a price. Prices will probably vary between all of them. A majority of my rods that I've received have come from USPS. Have not had any issues or damaged rod tube and were all in 1 piece. I like to wrap a few layer of bubble wrap in 3 sections on the rod tip/middle/butt that way it isn't bouncing around in the tube. Some foam between the caps and rod doesn't hurt either.- Setups around $200-300
I guess your gonna have hundreds of different suggestions on this one. This would be a never ending conversation between everyone. You don't have to spend $300 for a nice combo/setup in my opinion. I feel that most of my rods/reel combo setups between $120-$200. I'd say figure out which brand rods/reels you are planning to use and go from there. I have all Daiwa reels so that is what I'm rolling with. I'd say find a rod brand that you really like that has good variety of choices in their lineup that will fit you planned techniques and match them up with the reels you like. Everyone is going to have a different opinion/suggestion for specific brands they like/prefer.- Which on sale rod - fury or phenix m1
I have a couple Dobyns rods, I have a Sierra & Fury. I've been happy with my Dobyns Rods that I have. I've never used a Phenix rod so I can't comment for their rods. I think you'll have more choices to choose from with the Dobyns Fury compared to the Phenix. I think your best choice would be the Fury comparison wise. I would also recommend the Falcon BuCoo SR for around that price, you can find them on sale right now. I picked up 2 of them from Sportsman's Outfitters, they were $59.99 & $69.99. I think if you sign up with them you can get a discount code/points if I remember right.- Fishing And Relationships
