Smallish soft plastic swimbaits
Not sure how small you are looking for but I have had a great time fishing the small swimbaits from Mule Fishing and Moondog baits. Small companies that make baits for just this sort of application

Anyone have finesse swim jig recommendations
I have used Moondog Baits swim jigs and I really like them. They get down to 1/16 and 1/8 oz. They usually don't have a bait keeper on their hooks so usually have to glue your baits on.

Cashion 6’10” ML BFS vs Phenix 7’1” ML rod
I have the Cashion 6'10" and the 7'0" and I really like them both. The 7'0" is great with moving baits and the other I use for soft plastics. Both of them have been a lot of fun to fish with

Latest Haul - Keitech Mono Spin Jigs
I started throwing these last year. They are a lot of fun to fish. Been using a Mule Fishing Burro Bug as a trailer with good results. They catch everything! Last fall I caught a big (to me) walleye on one! Didn't even know the lake I was one had walleye in it!

What line should I be using for my UL setup?
I have been using Gamma Panfish and really like it. I have used both the 4# and the 2#. The hi-vis yellow is nice because I can see it better!

Are pike schooling fish?
Thank you gentlemen for your help!

Are pike schooling fish?
Going to be fishing a lake that has pike in it. We have fished it several times over the last couple of years. Here's my question: If I catch a pike, are there others in the area that I should stop and fish for or are they more solitary and I should keep moving and try to locate similar areas?

Rod for Bluegill and Panfish
I have one of the Cashion panfish rods and love it.

BFS Jerkbait Rod?
I have both of the Cashion rods and like them both. I use the 6'10 for neds, finesse jigs etc and use the 7' for small crankbaits and topwaters. Both have been a blast to fish with. I don't throw a lot of jerkbaits, but I would imagine the 7' rod would do well with them

Your BFS Set Up ?
Cashion BFS rod with Shimano Scorpion reel with 4lb Sniper fluorocarbon. Great for bottom bouncing baits

What's your classic Scorpion reel...
16 years ago I read an article in Bassmaster about guys throwing lighter than usual baits with bait casters. I found a guy in Minnesota to build me a rod and asked him what reel to buy. The rod blank is burgundy so he recommended the Shimano Scorpion 1000 to me. Off to ebay I went and I have loved that reel since the day I got it. Had it cleaned (by DVT) for the first time ever a year ago and it still fishes as well as any reel I own. I got another BFS rod so I bought a new Scorpion for it. Hope it treats me as well as the OG

New to crappie fishing.. HELP!!!
Went down this rabbit hole a couple years ago. I have a couple of rods that I like. The TFO panfish rods have been fun to fish with. I have Pfleugger reels that I really like and have a Kastking ultralight reel of some sort that is good too. Keep it simple and you'll have a blast. I also have a ACC Crappie Sitx rod that is 8ft long that allows me to throw the little baits pretty far. You Tube has lots of great videos- Richard Gene is a wealth of info. Fish Anything and FloppinCrappie are good as well. There are also some very good forums dedicated to this type of fishing where you can glean some fantastic information.

Small swim baits for crappie....
The Mule fishing Donkey Tail has been a great little bait for me in the last year or so. Really durable.

I need a crappie jig rod.
I have a Cashion crappie rod that has quickly become my favorite. Also have a TFO panfish rod that I like pretty well too.

Recommendations for ultralight spinning rod<$ 100.00
I would add another vote for TFO rods. I have a 7' and 6'6" (2 piece). Really like them both.
-
What is your "old school" lure of choice?
4" Berkeley Power worm. Motor oil color. Used to fish them every time I went out. Haven't fished them for years until this year. They still flat out catch fish

Crappie Rod
I have two of the TFO panfish rods that I really like. I think they are little more than what you are looking to spend, but they have both (I have the 7'0 and a 6'6" 2 piece) performed really well.

Still no bass fishing in Minnesota
In NY on any body of water that has anything to do with the St Lawrence river, the "rules" say no fisherman is allowed to be targeting bass of any kind until the third Saturday in June. A couple of years ago, the regulations added the wording "this includes catch and release".

How do I get scratches out of a lip
I have worked with Lexan in commercial and residential settings for a little over 25 years and, as far as I know, there is not a product to get scratches out of it. We have tried several products over the years with little or no success. You might want to try the stuff they sell to remove the oxidation from headlight lenses on cars. They are generally made out of plexiglass or Lexan. The product works for what it is supposed to do, but the scratches are usually still visible. The only other thing that might work would be jewelers rouge, but I have never used it for this situation before.

UL setup for perch
I would agree with the St Croix rods. I would add to that list, the TFO panfish series, Cashion rods came out with a crappie line of rods that I really like as well. Have heard good things about the Trout Magnet rod as well, but have never fished one. I have one of each of the other rods I have mentioned and all are a lot of fun to fish.

soft plastic helgramites
Charlie Case passed away a few years ago. Great guy. Case plastics can still be bought online. Google Case plastics and you will be able to find where to buy them

Who sells/makes the best line cutter?
Boomerang for me as well.
