  1. Can you switch one of the 3 banks that have completed charging over to the battery that hasn't charged? Maybe that one bank is bad. Or maybe it's the battery. I have a 3-bank MK PC fwiw.
  2. "containers" Must be where my 3 12" trailer wheel/radial tire combos are that I ordered 12/2. Good thing I have another year left on what I driving. Every 3 weeks or so they push the due date out another month. I want M rated 81 mph tires and not the usual unmarked High Speed 65 mph tires everybody sells.
  3. Sure, I've been guessing the weight of every fish I've hooked for 50 years or so. Just the other day I set the hook spinnerbait fishing and there wasn't much there. Then it pulled a little for an instant and I thought 2 pounder. Then it took off and I knew and it circled halfway around the boat pulling against a MH rod. I missed hitting the citation length for a pickerel by one inch. It was only 23" and 3 pounds.
  4. "You all have sponsors, don't you ?" Does Social Security retirement count? Just kidding. What's left after federal withholding, Medicare premiums with IRMAA penalties, and setting money aside for state income taxes every month I don't think they qualify as a sponsor. Well, maybe a cheap sponsor. (SSA won't withhold state taxes fwiw.) At my age I can't afford to wait too long between upgrades or I might not be around to enjoy them considering the inventory and shipping delays.
  5. "Is there anything Megabass makes that just isn’t better than the similar bait in other brands?" Beats me. How many of the other lure companies have gone out of business because everything Megabass works better?
  6. "You might lose a plug here and there, but you don't burn through them the way I buy them." I have more than enough to last for many years. So what do I do? Instead of trying to thin out the crankbait boxes by losing a lure here and one there, I bought a Frabill 15' lure retriever two weeks ago.
  7. "You aren't cheap. You just like the smell of pepperoni." I'm cheap. You know how some station wagons and SUVs have a retractable luggage cover in the back? My work table cover is the lined piece of dark gray vinyl I cut off of the luggage cover. What makes me cheap is that it's from a 1986 Subaru dual-range 4WD wagon I used for surf fishing for 14 years until the front sub frame assemblies completely rusted out. I'm still trying to get my money's worth out of it.
  8. A friend sent me this one.
  9. If you own a digital scale they aren't estimates. Or you can look them up on one of the weight lists floating around the web. My first rod was 5'5" and made of steel of some sort. It seemed to weigh a ton, but I was little in the mid-50s. The handle was cork and the seat was some kind of pot metal I'd guess from the way it slowly corroded over the decades. Probably from black sea bass fishing come to think of it. Those were the days, one rod and one reel.
  10. "I didnt think you good ole boys used fairy wands" I know what a real good ole boy is, but what the heck is a fairy wand? Sounds like some kind of silly insult. I love all of my Conquest rods because they're featherweight, sensitive and strong as heck, but I'm still big enough to fish my 10-, 11- and 12-foot surf rods with one hand even at my advanced age.
  11. I've been using Star Tron for 6 years in a Toro zero turn and in a Deere mower on the recommendation of the 3rd-generation lawn care dealer that sold me the Toro. I also use it in a '13 Merc 9.9 4-stroke. It appears to be a simple enzyme with no alcohol in it, but who knows. Stabil worked before that, but I always drained those engines for the winter and I don't drain the riding mowers in order to run them every 2 or 3 weeks during the winter. Also on the advice of the dealer. He doesn't like to see zero turn hydros sitting for months. Or his mechanics don't...
  12. There are certainly 10-pounders in there. I was fishing closer to Richmond on Monday and the mud was thick enough to limit visibility to 1'. And it took a chartreuse spinnerbait with a chartreuse/silver glitter grub on it to see down that far. The few fish we found were on the surface in what few pads that were up.
  13. "Bodies are identical!" But the weights aren't. The bills aren't. Who knows what else isn't the same. You insist the the bodies are identical. Do they float the same? Do they track the same? Have you dissected both of them and compared the balsa density, the paint thickness, etc.?
  14. The flat-7's I looked at on ebay are coffin bill and the og6's I own are round. Still not much similarity.
  15. Back before Christmas I found 3 big bags of these buried in one of the old, old bins of fishing stuff. I can't even guess how old they are, maybe 25 or 30 years, or the last time I used one. The first time I used one was so long ago it may have been when I caught my first 7-pound bass. I think I'll take a handful with me in the morning.
  16. Doesn't appear to be an exact copy according to a quick google search of length and weight. I've never cut either one of them open to see how they're constructed. Ott's Garage Slim 06 2-3/4" 1/2oz DT FLAT 7 2.5" 3/8oz
  17. "they say OT spend LOTS OF TIME personally making the OTG 6 " in his garage"" He doesn't make all of them in his garage. He designed them there according to every interview and review I read. The ones I own fish very well.
  18. I like it, but I'm partially colorblind.
  19. I agree it doesn't affect it too much. If you fish with a really tight drag it will make it a little bit tighter. It depends on what you like. I like my drag set for the instant the fish bites.
  20. Did their only employee take that pic? Is everyone on lunch break? They need a second truck, too. Is that the CA warehouse or the GA warehouse? Now my tracking Notify/Late Date has been changed from 3/31 to 3/22. " Entered: 03/22/21 Notify/Late Date: 03/22/21 " All of those orders I've made and this is the first time I've ever clicked on the tracking link in my account. I didn't know there was a tracking link. I have no idea what it all means. Understanding it must be above my pay grade or something.
  21. If I can't use their bait juice, well I'll make my own. www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/bassomatic/n8631
  22. I'm sitting here drinking coffee wondering if the covid restrictions in CA are slowing up my 3/22 Tacklewarehouse order that they originally predicted to ship on 3/31 (of stuff I really didn't need anytime soon.) Their tracking info says it's been ready to ship for a couple of days. Then it occurred to me - Did TW ever open that new operation in Georgia? I have a retired cousin in Alpharetta, I should ask him to drive by and ask them. www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2017/02/23/californias-sports-warehouse-said-to-relocate-hq.html "The Sports Warehouse family of companies include Tennis Warehouse, Running Warehouse, Tackle Warehouse, Skate Warehouse, Inline Warehouse, Ice Warehouse, Derby Warehouse, Riding Warehouse, Art’s Cyclery, Racquetball Warehouse and Total Pickleball. Sports Warehouse will locate in a 117,000-square-foot building at 1295 Bluegrass Lakes Parkway, said Robert Long, vice president of economic development at the Cumming-Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce. Sports Warehouse could also acquire adjacent land for future expansion. The expansion was expected to be announced Feb. 28. " " I hope it stops raining before I run out of coffee. 1.5" is enough for now. Our temps are dropping below freezing tonight and tomorrow night.
  23. I've been told there are no free drinks at Maryland casinos due to state law. I used to take several gambling trips to the Bahamas every year to enjoy the beach and food. I would also fly to Atlantic City multiple times a year to gamble at Harrah's - it was nice they didn't take bus traffic from NYC and Philly. Been to Vegas and Laughlin a few times. About 15 or 20 years ago I completely lost interest in casino gambling. I don't even actively stock trade anymore. And I've never seen a show. I do play a little dealer's choice with the guys from time to time.
  24. Nearly everyone I know here is saying, "Yeah, build it on the other side of town, not where I live." There's enough stupid stuff going on here already without some place handing out free drinks 24/7.
  25. "There is drag setting as relates to spool diameter (how much line on the reel at any given point in time); " That's why I set the drag before casting and then check it quickly by tugging the line after the first long cast. It's usually too tight when the spool is half empty.
