  5. Zoom Finesse,Trick and Magnum Finesse on Spot Removers and Gamakatsu Ball heads are mainly what I use when throwing Shakes .watermelons,pumpkins,junebugs,redbugs and black are my favorite colors for this style of bass fishing

  10. I don’t call these cheap but I usually run with Gamakatsu,EagleClaw ,VMC and Acadamy h2o.i consider these good hooks at a fair price
  11. I like a slight bow in my line with a Texas rig where I can feel the tick and quickly reel up the slack in the bow , then set he hook.
  12. Caught the 11.7 when I was 58, I’m 65 now.cold and windy on March 22 as I remember ,junebug Zoom lizard4 inch on a shakeyhead.200 acre lake near my house.i’ve got a pic of it on my old flip phone.the fish in my avatar is a 7 pounder caught at Clark Hill 2 years ago on a speed worm

The best area to fish Oconee during the dog days would be down near the dam.The water is deeper,there’s rock piles,grass ,stump fields and islands.i would target grass early in the morning with top water baits,weightless flukes and worms then as the sun gets higher find the rockpiles in the deeper dropoffs.it’s tough during dog days any way you slice it.Good luck

    Texas rig or Carolina rig is mainly how most fish lizards.dragging ,maintaining bottom contact or pausing and hopping.the bass will let you know how they want it most of the time.great soft plastic baits for sure

  21. I’m a fan of the 4/0 ewg light wire hook on the super fluke and the 3/0 ewg on the fluke junior.wait until you feel the fish and then sweep the rod and you got him
