Sorry Mobass, I had to chase after my beagle hound that got after some strays this morning and when I got back I went fishing . I meant I just usually stick to the old reliable stuff most of the time but a friend got me to try a chatter bait up in the dirty water back up in the river one Spring and it made a believer out of me.it’s easy to throw and it usually catches quality when you get bit.i know what you mean about certain baits that don’t work .

Plastic worms, lizards , creatures, jigs, spinnerbaits, and diving plugs. buzzbaits and topwater plugs are my main ones. I like to throw chatterbaits but other than these I just don’t try to keep up with all the new stuff.

I used to throw a 6inc lizard that had a ring worm main body, would you happen to know if they still make em?

I like the Zoom 4 inch dead ringer which is close to the rebel in action and form. I keep plenty especially around the spawn.

I like pecan most of the time but I used to smoke with apple but my two apple trees died 5 years ago.ive got plenty of pecan trees on my property so I use it

I like to bbq as much as I can. I love the taste of meat and fish cooked on wood heat smokers. I built one out back next to my shop about 35 years ago of brick and steel door with the firebox in the front,convection style.ignorant about posting pictures but it sure is fun to slow cook bbq in the back.this thread is making me real hungry.

Hope the doc finds the right combo soon. I’ve had 3 lumbar surgeries and the pain is no joke. Ive not had fusion yet so I can imagine the higher threshold is tougher. Prayers out from here.
