Who’s everyone pick? Hard to bet against John Cox here lately. Also, we had our annual 500 year flood the last two days so there will be tons of current and the bite should be wide open

The big south fork of the Cumberland came up 30 ft in 1.5 days, I think it’s pushing 80,000 cubic feet per second right now. Here’s a little trout stream my buddy photographed today

Oooo pretty chilly! Definitely more on the pre-spawn side.

Thanks for the tip on the RED lipless haha a staple spring bait proving it's worth!

Not exactly a secret however -

As indicated by the large number of models & brands that are "Out of Stock" most everywhere.

Very similar to last years classic. Red traps and cranks seem to be most common. A few guys crawling a jig and chatterbaiting

Still unbelievable these lure companies haven't figured out the 'yearly patterns' and then up their production lines to increase stock on the known movers...

I picked Jamie Hartman in a contest to win a Dobyns rod, and 57 lbs 12 oz. as the weight to win an xtasy rod, but looks like I may of guessed under. I just started watching professional fishing though, so I'm pretty clueless about these guys.

He won here last year, however that was June I think.

He's a good stick so dont count him out.

Probably should add Good Stick to the fishing lingo page

You dont want to be labeled a bad stick

Some say early emerging crawdads look like that. The red lures also work in late summer after everyone else switched to other colors. I think it's more because the water color is typically murky in spring

As someone just getting into the sport, I would like to see all the big names fish together. Why doesn't that happen? I'm guessing money and sponsorship, and maybe a few anglers are just scared of better competition.
