I remember that happening and I stopped using it for a few years.Started throwing fc for a few years then found Sufix Siege and still use it today on my spinning reels mainly.

I have a similar situation.i changed both relays at the same time and it fixed the problem at the throttle switch and bow switch but only will go down on the motor switch but not up.

My first was a single tray metal tackle box. Union brand, well built and solid.good times
