  1. I think the best part about this rod is not the color or sensitivity, it the weight! It is the lightest rods i own. A reel weighing any heavier than any revo (8.7) feels too heavy. And having to find a light enough reel is not a bad problem to have. I haven't tried braid on these but i saw a show where Boyd Duckett was fishing one with a swimming frog w/ braid.
  2. I bought both of mine from delo's. They are a sponsor here on the forum. Click view all sponsors under the interchanging banner at the top of the page. They have I think 11 models of it in spinning and casting options. I love them! If you purchase one, you going to want a little bit smaller profile reel to put on it. I have two and I have the Revo SX on one and a Citica 100DSV on the other. One with 10lb Triline fluoro and the SX with 10lb Suffix Elite. Get Ya One! Tin, Redlinerobert, and I are believers in the carrot stix.
  3. Which size bubble pop did you get?
  4. I would much rather fish a plastic frog anyways.... But if your going to get one get a more compact frog and you will catch all sizes of fish. like a SPRO Bronzeye Jr. You can even flip those holes w/ a plastic frog if you have enough patience and let it sink in.
  5. Now, does anybody know of any orange reels grips or orange/black swirl reel grips? I love reel grips and have them on all my reels but on this one they have to be a certain color.
  6. Yep, shes oiled up and ready to go! The cast control cap was tightened down and all i had to do was loosen it and it came right off.
  7. I can't get it to come out of the postition it came in. I can get it out just a little bit but i cant swing it up like I should be.
  8. I can't think of anything else to try.
  9. Nope, got in the mail today. Went to oil it and couldn't get it off.
  10. They open the same way. I can't tell if anything is stuck in it because it wont open! I'm turning the right way and turning it hard.
  11. I have both sizes of the Bubble Pop and they work great. Come with sharp hook and good action.
  12. Jitterbugs and Pencil Poppers for the big ones.
  13. I think its time to get a flippin stick. Flip the holes with a baby brush hog and pegged 1/4oz tungsten weight.
  14. Doing exactly what i do to my Revo S. I can create a little space between the sideplate and the main frame but it never gets big enough to put a credit card between the two.
  15. It won't budge! ive got pretty strong arms and it doesn't move one bit.
  16. Thanks! Yep, i think we both gotta have our carrot stix! They feel great with a Revo SX on them. I have a Citica 100DSV on the other. They both work great but i wanted this one to be something to show off to everyone. I don't think you can get a better 300 dollar combo.
  17. Got another carrot stix and this time i put a Revo SX on it. Man it looks awesome. Question: How do you open the side plate on the SX? I can open the S with ease but I can't get it open on the SX. I'm unscrewing the top screw on the other side of the reel.
  18. Skinny Bear for all football jigs. I use these in all colors. They dont hang up at all and have a rubber skirt and Owner Deep Throat hook. The worst thing about these jigs is its so hard to find a small enough trailor! Thats a pretty good problem to have after hearing your problem. http://www.***.com/descpageJCASKINNY-SBPJBR.html
  19. A Colorado/Indiana white/scale spinnerbait.
  20. Chatter bait, Jig-n-Pig, 1/8 buzz bait, and because i live in Alabama and the water never freezes and fishing starts mid February, a zoom horny toad. I have also had good luck early season with a 3/16 spot remover pro model for pitching to deeper bushes and dock pilings.
  21. I use all brands as long as they are War Eagle.
