you can use them a whole lot slower then a buzzbait too. i use them alot during the bream spawn and wake them around docks. they work great. the only key is shallow water.

hmmmm...the patriarch is a pflueger. rule that one out. i would actually get the SX and save 50 bucks. there is little to no mechanical difference just different trim and all.

So today im out at lay lake and im fishing a shakey head around a rocky stretch of bank and first cast, tap tap tap, i reel up and slammed. Fight him for 30 seconds or so and get him right next the boat, about a 6lb spot, a coosa river giant, and he jumps once just barley out of the water and the hook falls right out. What did i do wrong? i kept tension on him with out overpowering it. Im so mad i broke this fish off!!!

I usually have one tied on when the water hits 60 degrees and never take it off till October. They are one of my favorite baits to fish. Behind a senko and football jig.

Go buy some footlooses. they are my favorite crankbait made. I have one in about 10 different colors and they all work great. I use everything they make except the MAXX series. I dont like them i feel that there are much better choices to make like the Rapala DT series or the Norman lineup. So go buy a couple and catch some fish!

What do yall use in muddy water during the late winter months? I'm going to a lake full of big healthy bass and the front that just went through muddied up the water. This is Alabama so its starting to warm up again. High's during the day are anywhere from 50-70 degrees. What would yall use?

Largemouth: Jig or Big big big topwater, like pencil poppers. Spots: I have caught spots from 6" to 6lbs. the biggest 5 have all come on 1/8 oz shakey heads as where most people through topwaters for big spots.
