  1. Throw on a LFT Magic Shad and you have my number one lure for schooling bass!
  2. Mine are: A 1/2 oz Brown Rubber skirted Skinny Bear football jig w/ a zoom doubletail grub in watermelon red as a trailer. (deep rocks and structure) 1/8 oz spot remover w/ a zoom finesse worm in junebug or watermelon red. (docks, shallow rocks, and brush piles)
  3. Shimano Citica's are $70 at delos!!!!!! deloscustomtackleshack.com I'm lining up and order for FOURof them. In my opinion the best baitcasting reel if you don't have alot of money to spend. It is my only recommendation as a begginer baitcasting reel anymore.
  4. Use braid and that won't happen :
  5. If you have a flippin stick(you might not if you live in MD), you can use that w/ 14-20 lb line or braid. I use 40lb braid for my swimbaits. I like Mattlures 5" Bluegill.
  6. Sounds like a good rod for larger topwater to me.
  7. o ok yeah i see now. i like bandits but they aren't the best. I prefer Norman and Mann's. I REALLY like the matte finish crawfish pattern. yeah she was a hoss. I can't wait to go to that lake in the spring and chuck some swimbaits at them.
  8. 2nd row the first 3 look like footlooses to me. alright, buddy,i go to one lake and catch one of those at least once a week.Biggest is 13lbs,buddy. On a Revenge buzzbait. Them little rapalas are so light though.
  9. Looks like a Luhr Jenson Kwikfish.
  10. Replace the hooks on it. I have never caught much size on those floatin rapalas but alot of bass in ponds where there arent monsters. US LUCKY SOUTHERNERS ;D ;D ;D ;D
  11. I fought it for probably 5 mins trying to tire it out. Then waited on the camera from the house and while i was waiting she would take off and i would have to tire her back out. One of the most interesting catches of my life. From now on i am gonna have a rod rigged and have some oatmeal with me. A little twist in the day from bass.
  12. I have one of those sitting in my garage right now. I'm going to send it to reelmech sooner or later when i find time. I may through it on there till i can get another reel.
  13. 19 bags of trick worms later.....

If i was going to buy one of the king kongs, id buy the larger size of it. I guess ill try the River2Sea and I'm also going to buy a AC Plug Minnow for my bigger bait rod. Another question...what pound line are yall gonna throw those Mattlures minnows on? I'm thinking about throwing it on 17 lb fluorocarbon. I can't wait to get some of these! I might even go out to a local pond on the way back from the huntin club just to check these out!

I'm looking for a larger hardbait to use as a wakebait. Not a crankbait like a Footloose but not a big ole' nice swimbait. I have the gear to throw baits up to 2 oz but I dont want a bait like that. I'm talkin more along the lines of 7ft mh slow reel and 15 lb pline cxx. Durability is the biggest factor in the topic. To answer your question, its a bait used to move slowly across the surface of the water.

I'm looking for a relatively cheap wake bait. I saw one made by River2Sea but wanted to hear something good about it before I bought it or find another one to buy. I live in Alabama so I don't need all this trout stuff. I would like to find one shad pattern and one bluegill pattern. WAREAGLE!!!!!!
  18. Is BPS David Fritts reel manufactured by shimano. If you look at the handle in the picture it looks like all of the Shimano handle. Anyone know? http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_90570_100001001_100000000_100001000_100-1-1
  19. What are some of the best reels for cranking that are good on the wallet. I'm looking for the slower gear ratio. I wish Abu made a low speed version of the Revo line.

WAR DAM'N EAGLE!!!!!!! 6 in row!!!! can't wait for number 7. WV is national champ. bound and im glad I have friends who moved from there so im a fan when they are playing but I bleed orange and blue.
  21. I like the looks of these. Next time I order from tackle warehouse im going to add two of these to my cart along w/ some weighted hooks. They look perfect for a swimbait that will catch quality and quantity too. Looks like a bait I could catch 3's and 4's on but an 8 or 9 might get a look at it and its done. If I hook into more then one of that size ill buy all of them ;D
  22. I like that sammy. I might just have to get me one along w/ a few LC RC's from tackle warehouse.
  23. Found my most favorite popper ever bought in the bottom of one of my tackle bags after many attempts at searching. You can be sure I feel like an idiot when I found it.
  24. Nope not looking to get into the japanese stuff unless its lures or something. I wanna stick to something i know.
  25. I would use 1/8oz for spinning reels and 1/4oz or 3/8 for casting reels.
