    Is that a berkley product?
  3. Because im from alabama ill have to go for the better name ALABAMA RIG but war eagle!
  4. 2/0 offset worm hook. weightless, wacky, or split shot. weightless being the favorite.
  5. I would use them either on a drop shot or a small jig head.
  6. 4 inch purple finesse worm ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

  8. Lucky. Gimme some!
  9. Piece of junk. :-/
  10. I just use my plastics how they come in the package. If it has scent, they work great. If they dont, they still work great. Gambler and Powerbait makes so smelly soft plastics. I have a bottle of YUM but it stains anything it touches including you plastics.
  11. Give it a try! I have alot of success waking a SB so try a buzzbait and maybe you will have some more fish hit. I bet the strike looks great too.
  12. I like either white w/ black flakes or green pumkin rigged on an insider tube head either 1/8 or 1/4 oz.
  13. I use a trick worm because I can use it on top but can also let it sink into holes or use it like a senko. I use 12lb mono w/ a 3/0 Gamakatsu offset worm hook. I thread the worm on the hook about 3/4 of an inch or an inch when i rig it. I think it gives the worm much better action. I usually use a cadence of twitch twitch twitch pause (3-5 seconds) twitch twitch pause (8-10 seconds), or on days when the fish are really aggressive i will skip the long pauses and just let it hang for a second or two. I use colors like sherbert, white, bubblegum, and lime worms. but in very clear water ill switch to a green pumpkin chart. tail. Throw these around any cover that you can find as well as to banks or docks. I hope this helps, Shawn I hope this helps
  14. To me, the look exactly like the Paca Craws. But look like they could still work.
  15. I also like the babys better than the bigger version. The large one is HUGE but i have had good luck pitching pads w/ the bigger ones. The baby brush hogs are the best creature bait on the bass market IMHO. I t-rig them most of the time w/ a small weight like 1/8 or 3/16 oz small. Try the baby's to get some confidence then you can experiment w/ the larger brush hog.

Me too. Im going to try wacky after the head of the worm is torn up. I think that rigging it wacky might catch some larger fish.

Yes, i get that problem almost every fish. I have had my line break off below the hook and i am just left with a hook and worm. Try P-Line CX premium. I use it in 8lb test. It is very sensitive and has a little bit of stretch. Most people i have heard said that this is a great drop shotting line so i gave it a try and its great i can feel everything. Do you rig yours wacky or through the head?

I love fishing the drop shot. What line do you guys use? What weight of sinker for lets say, 20' or less? What kind of worm and hook size do you use if you want to catch a 3+ lber on a drop shot? The biggest that i have caught is about 2lbs but i love fishing it. I out-fish all other baits about 8-1. I love the tick you feel too and you know one has it. Does anybody else have the drop shot craze like me?
  20. Yep, light wire hooks work better for me when fishing thinner style worms. Try a a 2/0 offset gammy or mustad even though there not the sharpest things made.
  21. I think a 7' MH/F should be good. but for pitching to laydowns i like a 7' H rod as well as for frogs. Your choice. A SB can easily be thrown on a 7' M or MH. Which you much already have.
  22. I use all Zoom because GYCB has failed to create a soft plastic frog. If they did i would be ordering a whole bunch of GYCB! but no frogs. I really like the Ikas though
  23. I fish them weightless on a gammy 3/0 offset worm hook on 12lb line. nothing less or it will sink really fast but if you need the worm to be worked w/ the weightless action but deeper use lighter line.
  24. Owner 4/0 cutting point is all that i have ever used w/ braid. I dont even want to try with anything lighter wire. Has anyone fished a hula grub/spider grub/gonzo grub type bait on a c-rig?
