I had my best luck this year w/ a crawfish colored lipless CB, running it through grass w/ braided line.
  2. Convince me to buy a carrot stick.
  3. Take a baby brush hog and cut it off to the start of the arms and put it on a jig. Gives it soooooo much more action.
  4. A jig would be mine and 2nd would be drop shotting.
  5. Who of BR members can I contact about hand tied jigs? I have already talked to GMAN and will be getting some from him soon but I was wondering who else I could talk to about getting some custom jigs

  7. How has the fishing been at Guntersville? I'm heading up there in the next week w/ a pro and his son.
  8. Simply, when are times you throw a square bill CB over a rattle trap?
  9. Just picked up a few from Marks Outdoors, a local tackle shop, how do you like them and what trailors do you fish w/ them?
  10. i like an 1/8 oz shakey head w/ a zoom finesse worm and work it really slow or aggressive
  11. BPS has the old chrome Johnny Morris reels on sale for 135 bucks. thats a steal!!!
  12. I am in need for a rod to put a Pflueger Summit on. I fish a weed/grass embeded lake so what I normally thow are t-rigs, c-rigs,jigs, and senkos/ika. I want at least a 6' 10 rod to make long casts cant decide between mh or heavy. i dont know if i could still through senkos and ika. any suggestions?
  13. Dont waste your money. It creates so much drag under the water that there is no feel for you bait at all. stick w/ floating braided line.
  14. Thanks i was thinking 7' Mh hoping for maybe a ex. fast action but i dont know w/ 140 bucks
  15. Oh ive got about 60 bucks going to *** for my first order aka about 200 trick sticks in 5" and 7"
  16. I was planning on getting a 7' MH because the lake i fish has alot of weeds and about the only fishing i can get away w/ without my flippin stick is a t-rig 3/8 and up. Im planning on putting some Pline cxx 15lb on it. Biggest fish ever caught in the lake is 13 lbs so i gotta beef up a little because my 6' 6 M isnt getting the job done for single hook applications.
  17. my mistake i meant a combo. im a 15 year old kid. i dont have the funds :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
  18. If you had 140 bucks to go spend on a baitcaster what would it be and why? simple as that
  19. Sounds good. is it very visible?
  20. you can fish w/ out a reel but not a rod :)
  21. CXX is mono isnt it? I want something w/ less stretch than mono.
  22. I hear alot about Yo Zuri Hybrid and flourocarbon. I am getting a Johnny Morris baitcaster and will be using it mostly for t-rigs,jigs, and weightless plastics (senkos and ikas). Which would you use? I am thinking of about 12# or 14#. Anyone?
  23. Dont hear as much about rattle baits anymore as well as beetle spins or road runners
  24. I fish the same conditions as you. Bluegill is the main forage. Top: Heddon Swayback Spook/ Horney Toad in the pads Middle:DT-4 Bluegill Patten Bottom: Finesse Jig for the Pads/buy some black shakey heads w/ red hooks and some watermelon red finesse worms and use them as a shaky head. sounds finesse but you will catch big ones doing this. I caught a 4 1/2 lb spot and a 6 1/2 lb largemouth in back to back casts no the shaky head
  25. Not to steal this thread, but what kind of cranks do yall use for clear water?
