Curado or Citica need some imput
Well Burley, if too is out the question...at least get one!!! Best deal of the year and you passed up on one or too. I guess the baitmonkey was with me last night.

BEAST
I like it best weightless or on a pegged t-rig pitched to dock pilings or outside edges of cover and I also use it as a jig trailer on BIG jigs.

Curado or Citica need some imput
Citicas were made to fill in for the old curado after they redid them and bumped them up to $199. I think if you take care of them, the Citicas will save you some money for rods to put them on.

What do you want to try but haven't ???
a Shimano Core!

P Line
P-line CX is all i use on spinning reels. It is a fluorocarbon coated line so it sinks after about 30 seconds. It is tough line though. I have caught 6-7 lb bass on this 8lb line. I use it in 8lb for dropshotting (I cast and also drop), light texas rigs (3/16 and lower weight sinkers). And I use 10lb when using light shallow crankbaits around cover.

Revo S Brake
How do you open the left side plate of a Revo S to get to the centrifugal brakes? The manual doesnt say how.

i wanna step up my game
I think you should save until February. Your not going to be fishing much between now and then anyways. If you can, try to save all the money you can. Also ask your parents if they can pay for a little bit like 15 or 20%. I think for the reel should be a CI100DSV. http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/reels/shimanocitaca.html It will last you for an extremely long time and it is a quality reel for a small price. As for the rod I think you should look into a Shimano Clarus. It is a good rod and I would go with the 6'6 medium either EF or MF depending on what you thow. If you use mostly lures go with the MF. If you use jigs and worms go w/ the EF.http://www.***.com/descpageRDCSHIMANO-SHCLCR.html For line I recommend, 10lb Suffix Elite. It is abrasion resistant, castable, and is decently inexpensive. Just do odd jobs and ask to make money around the house. I'm only 15 and even though I have a job I still try to make a little money around the house. If this just seems impossible, send me PM. Ill try to find something a little cheaper. I know it is hard trying to get all of this money for something that seems overpriced but this will last you a very long time if you take care of it.

Gambler Brutus Swimbait?
Go to these on tackle warehouse's website and click the color Florida Five-o. It looks fricken awesome, but I dont like how the tail is at a 45 to the body.

Mono for frog fishing?
I use 20lb Triline XT when I am fishing frogs in tight quarters where I am not far from the frog (like skipping under low trees). I do this because like most of us, when you have a fish blow up 25 ft away, we JERK...right away. The mono just has the stretch to allow a fish that has it good to not be yanked into the boat on hook set. See us young guys can not follow the crowd too! Even though I use braid in all other situations.

Santa's little helper (aka the Baitmonkey).. what did he bring you?
Carrot Stix LTX Tackle Warehouse Gift card I spent specifically on swimbaits and a couple jigs I needed more of. Dicks and Academy gift cards. (spent them on hooks, weights, horny toads, and U-tale worms and a doe-in-estrous bleat) About 15 crankbaits and 5 packs of Horny Toads. Money to spend on fishing tackle. (going towards a Revo SX and a Chronarch 50mg)

Gambler Brutus Swimbait?
After about 3 fish that tail is going to be done. If you want some cheap swimbaits that will catch bass 3 lbs + instead of those monster swimbaits that are expensive, buy some Reaction Innovations Skinny Dippers.

Best Hollow Frog
I use Spro Bronzeyes, but like others have said I bend the hooks up just a little bit and add rattles. I think hollow body frog fishing is a very specific technique. The only times I ever use these over plastic frogs is matted grass or skipping then under low lying trees/brush. Plastic frogs are more versatile and can be used extremely fast or extremely slow. You can drop them in holes or lets them sink on the last piling on the shady side of a dock.

Reel to match with Carrot Stix
Yep 51MG! Just like RW said. They only weigh 5.9 oz. They are super light. Only problem is they dont hold alot of line but that's fine. I've never casted 105 yards in my life.
