Large poppers...
Lately I have been reaching for an Arashi Cover Pop. The only complaint I have about it is the limited colors.

KVD Shark tooth... Anyone use one of these?
Looks like Maxima got tired of cutting checks to KVD. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Maxima_Sharktooth_Line_Control_Management_System_3pk/descpage-MSTLC.html?from=gshop&gclid=Cj0KCQjwxdSHBhCdARIsAG6zhlVZaElTAK2Yma05Xk0BLWSmM34UF6cgd9QSdxUxrT8fIVB51XjnWicaAuuDEALw_wcB

Heavy Wire Hook for Fluke?
I only fish soft jerk baits around vegetation where I can not fish a hard jerk bait. It is generally on heavier line and a superline EWG.

Floating jerkbait in summer?
I love jerkbait fishing. Most "suspending" jerkbaits are slow float when I submerge them in my sink in regular temperature tap water. I do not know if they do that in order to offset the sink of fishing line in order to suspend while fished or what the reasoning is. With that said, I classify lures like the Rapala Floating Minnow and some Bagley lures in their own category as "extreme float" and use them as top water lures. Cast them out, give them a tug or two, and wait a second until they comeback to the surface and repeat. Most strikes come on the small pause while the lure returns to the surface or is on the surface.

I got these in the mail today and I thought I would add them to the list. Big Bite Baits Jerk Minnow. 0.348 oz.

Lucky 13
The Lucky 13 and Baby Lucky 13 were two of my dad's favorite lures. So much so, I buried him with one when he passed. I still throw them occasionally, and they still catch fish.

What have been some "Game-Changers" for your fishing(?)
1) Getting a boat. 2) YouTube/Internet.

I wonder how far off Lowrance, Garmin, and Humminbird are from perfecting transducer cams.

Uni Knot in Reel's spool causing casting problems
I agree with the guys who said to pull off the braid until the connection knot is fully exposed and cover it with a piece of tape. It is the easiest solution without starting over.

- Why Are Megabass Products So Expensive?
We have a 5K thread on this forum called "Show Off Your Stuff"...- Don't feel bad....
Also, the bass have not evolved much since those videos.- Swapping out trebles for singles on Vision 110 & 110 Jr.?
If you have a lot of baits, it might be worth your while to spend $25 on a cheap jewelry scale that measures down to the thousandth of a gram.- MLF St. Lawrence River Massena, NY Jun 25 - 30, 2021
I have never known life without spot lock. I imagine life without spot lock to be on the level of life without toilet paper.- MLF St. Lawrence River Massena, NY Jun 25 - 30, 2021
I do not bed fish intentionally. I fish during the spawn so I am sure I have hooked up on a bedding fish just by chance. However, even if I did, that looks too uncomfortable to be something I would do. It looks like real work. I am in reasonably good shape and could probably pull that off, but I can not imagine some of the "unathletic" people I fish with doing that.- Need Help....St Croix Victory vs G.Loomis E6X
I got an E6X, 6'6" MH casting rod off an auction site. l believe it to be pre 2018 version which is suppose to be heavier than the current version. It is a good rod and in my regular line up. Having said that, I think I would risk the new Victory rod if I were to choose to get a rod right now. People reviewing the new rod seem overjoyed with their purchases where I am just satisfied even though I did not pay anywhere near MSRP.- MLF single day record broke.
It's probably the Googan Baits.- Current Favorite Hook Sharpener ?
I have not tried a lot of different hook sharpeners, but this is the one I have settled on from Dr. Slick. It gets the hook sharp enough to dig into my fingernail quick enough.- MLF St. Lawrence River Massena, NY Jun 25 - 30, 2021
Huh? I can not decide if "flogging" is any more or less legitimate a way of fishing than $10K+ electronics systems or even just sight fishing spawn beds in general.- Mono Line With MOST Stretch ?
I don't know if it is the most stretchy, but Suffix Elite stretches quite a bit. It is pretty strong too.- SV Spool for Daiwa Fuego CT
Have you had any experience with these spools? I want it not necessarily for BFS exactly, but I heard that SV spools are better for lighter baits as well as skipping.- SV Spool for Daiwa Fuego CT
There is now a Fuego CT SV available overseas. Is it possible to acquire just the spool? If so, where?- I'm a believer in the dark sleeper!
Don’t do it. You will have to share the front of the boat if she fishes.- Best catch on your cheapest combo?
To this day, my PB LMB came on a 2 piece Shimano Stimula paired with a Shimano Sienna off the bank. It was also the rod I caught my first bass on. I used that rod to soak bait for stripers and catfish as well. I used it until one of the eyes lost half its inner lining. I still remember the touch of grief I felt when I broke it down for the last time in order to put it in the trash can.- Mono for Crankbaits?
I tried straight fluoro for a while, and I liked the stretch paired with my fast action composite rods. However I am about to respool with a stretchy mono to see if I can achieve the same thing with better casting distance and knot strength at a lower cost. I plan on going down to 10# from 12# to maintain the same line diameter. - Why Are Megabass Products So Expensive?
