  1. If we successfully shoot down the second one on our first try, China owes us a stuffed animal.
  2. Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston for me. I remember watching Jimmy Houston Outdoors on ESPN Sunday mornings.
  3. Forever Chemicals have gone way past fish. It's in the water we drink. It's in the packaging we use. We are surrounded by it. MedCram on YouTube does a good breakdown on it including the chemical wack-a-mole aspect of it. I put effort into avoiding the stuff, but I admit. It is probably futile.
  4. Something like that yes. If I see them smoking a cigarette or being obese, no. It just depends on if it is something they might not reasonably know and might want to know.
  5. If I recall correctly, they are only about $5. Get both.
  6. Rapala Original Floating Minnow in silver, 5.84 lbs LMB. I should probably go back and edit all the old post about how I have never caught anything on it. Hehe.
  7. I would estimate once a week for five to ten minutes. Maybe more in warmer months and less in the wi. I only have two people around me that are truly interested. One can’t fish anymore because of injury, and the other was an avid angler but is no longer. In many ways, fishing has evolved into a private passion even though I fish with others occasionally.
  8. California: Resident - $58.58 Non Res - $158.25 Second Rod Stamp - +$18.36.
  9. When I first started using baitcasting gear for T-rigs, I use to find it really inconvenient to make pitches and have to manually pull line off the spool to make by bait drop vertically. Since then I have learned to adjust my technique where I do a combination of very little spool tension, finishing the pitch with the rod tip higher to allow for more slack in the cast, and manually pulling line out of the reel. Leaving the bail of my spinning rod open seemed so much less hassle and still does. However I want to pitch with 12-20 test mono/FC or 50# braid so I got use to it.
  10. It's the season of miracles!
  11. Duo Rozante 77SP has a limited color offering, but it is a great bait.
  12. The thin air in Denver has Wilson's deep ball all messed up. Oh, he's also distracted by spending all that guaranteed money.
  13. H2O hard baits in general from Academy have been really great. When they go on sale, it is almost too good to be true. With that said, there was another thread suggesting they may have been discontinued because people are reporting them on clearance.
  14. This bait looks good and has good action, but I have not caught anything on it yet. I will confess that I have not thrown it very much though. I got it this past winter, but the enthusiasm for it waned between then and post spawn. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Fishlab_Bio_Shad_Wake_Bait/descpage-FLBW.html
  15. I only use swivels with flukes on a donkey rig. With a single fluke, I try to stay in the top of the water column, periodically breaking the surface. The swivel would work against me in that scenario. I use a baitcaster to negate line twist as much as possible.
  16. Of course, duh? I can not bring myself to consistently use the same exact colors. There are too many variants of black, green pumpkin, and watermelon. Each time I buy a different variant.
  17. Zebco 33. It reminds me of when I was kid and fishing with my dad. It is inferior to everything I have on my deck, but it is still my favorite.
  18. I use to thread the holes on my Fuego but stopped. If you thread those holes with braid and knot it, it will hold. However, if you apply any amount of significant stress, the edges of the holes will cut the braid. It took a surprisingly small amount of tension. However, I watched Ott Defoe merely tape his braid to the spool with no knot at all so perhaps it does not matter.
  19. I loaded up with tungsten not too long ago. His have the nice weight labeling and paint chip resistance. They were well priced as well.
  20. That is fine for an all around set up. I would start specializing if I were thinking about getting another setup.
  21. I will try this next time I am out. I have some glass beads for C-Rigging but I don't fish the set up anymore since I got into football jigs and swing heads. Since you mostly drag/swim this setup after the initial fall, it is just a little added bling.
  22. Summarizing what others have said, and I agree with. Both are strong. The U2U is bigger but easier to tie. You can tell if you tied it properly just by looking at it. The Alberto knot is smaller but a bit harder to tie. It involves wrapping the main line over itself and proper cinching.
