Hypothetically.  Say a guy posts up a pic of his favorite wrist watch.  And next to the fancy time piece, you see a large raised, blue/black mole.  You saying anything?  

 

sorry I might be suffering from cabin fever.  
 

 

I had a total stranger tell me my constant small cough might be cancer.  I had my doc scan my lungs.  She determined it was asthma.  Oddly, that’s how the doc found my stepdad’s lung cancer.  Same nagging cough.   

A mole as you described can be anything.
 

However, if I see an open wound or someone unsteady, or something as obvious as someone coughs or sneezes without covering their mouth and splatters blood, I’ll definitely mention it. 
 

Then go to the doctor myself!

Something like that yes.  If I see them smoking a cigarette or being obese, no.   It just depends on if it is something they might not reasonably know and might want to know.

This is how I would approach it too.  Unless I know them, I am keeping my mouth shut.  People are really uptight about their health.  I am not a health professional, nor would I pretend to be either.

Seems like I heard a story of a news anchor that someone tweeted in about a lump on her neck that turned out to be a tumor

There was also a med student sitting behind the bench at a hockey game and noticed a mole/lump on the back of a coach's neck, she got word to him and it turned out to be cancer.

I think the difference in this case is that the individual who noticed and said something was a med student.

Gosh... I think euthanasia is the only course of action in that situation.  Put 'em out of their misery and get 'em out of the gene pool!   ?

 

(I live in northern NY near a popular vacation lake.  It is practically a normal occurrence to see vacationers fishing in the lake with giant saltwater spinning outfits, held upside-down.  I'm used to it.  Doesn't even make me twitch.)

Absolutely, I don't think I would ever say something to someone, especially a stranger, as I am definitely not qualified to diagnose medical conditions lol
