  1. My boy scout troop is leaving to go to Jekyll island tomorrow. I am gonna try to get in a little fishing time while down there. I need to know what bait I should use. I normally would use shrimp, but am not positive I will be able to get to a bait shop. What bait should I take as backup, that I can get locally. I am using steel double hook leaders with a 2 oz. weight on the bottom. I need to know by later tonight. Thanks.
  2. Just email them. I recently had an issue come in damaged, and I emailed them. They sent a nice response and promised to mail me another copy.
  3. I am 13, and live in Cartersville too. I have a 12 foot Grumman and we are restoring a 15 foot Lund fish and ski. Do you know of many smaller lakes, ponds or rivers in the area? I hear there are some good ones in Acworth, but have no clue where.
  4. Craigslist. Just sold a boat and trailer on there.
  5. I am 13, and have not been bass fishing for all that long, so I don't know some of the terminology. which technique is pitching?
  6. I am also a member of a forum geared more toward boat restoration and boating. I only hear good things about it. Were I able to afford it, I would have one, but unfortunately, no one is selling a used one, and new is far out of my budget.
  7. Just got a 10 pack of jigs on ebay a few minutes ago. Don't need them though. Still, they were a good deal, so I thought it was worth it. BTW, we need a better bait monkey smiley.
  8. I got a baitcaster for Christmas, and have pretty much mastered the backlashes and can cast underhanded pretty well. But, I am having a duck of a time casting overhanded. It always lands about 10 feet in front of me and I get a minor backlash. Where am I doing wrong?
  9. I am not allowed to go there. On our way home from picking up a boat we bought, we stopped for the grand opening of the one in Macon. Mom wasn't happy. :'(
  10. I am probably game. Even though I have plenty of fishable waters within ten minutes of here, I cannot fish that often because of my dads tight schedule. And I am only 13 so I cannot get there alone. By early summer, I hopefully will get more time. If so, count me in.
  11. I don't mind going up the ladder, it is just the stepping from the ladder to the roof. I am always afraid my center of gravity will change and the ladder will fall down. I am sorta afraid of heights, but if it feels safe I don't mind. I hate roller coasters. Since I was little I have been afraid of flying but will have to fly this summer. Going to Philmont with scouts. (I am 13) I to hate the orthodontist. I am not afraid, just hate him.
  12. My lab has a tendency to kill your hand at the dinner table. She comes up and puts her head under the edge of the table. When you pet the top of her said, she slams your hand up onto the bolt under the table. And it hurts like crap. And she thinks it is funny. The dachshunds are the most cunning dogs around. We own two. And, in my mind, we own 2 more than we should. I like big dogs (labs, retrievers, german shepards, hound dogs etc) They are a lot less trouble, and they are smart, but not too smart.
  13. My mom read this somewhere. A girls goldfish has started swimming upside down, almost dead. In a last ditch effort, the mom googles what to do with gold fish swimming upside down. She finds a site that says to put poiled peas into the fishbowl. She does. Sure enough, next morning, the fish is back to normal. My question is, does this only work with goldfish, or is this the new way to keep bass alive in a tourney?
  14. I am only 13 so I had to modify a couple of them to make it fit, but, depending on the number of modifications you count, I have between 16 and 20. I am really dead. How many years? Days? Minutes? OHHHHH MANNNNN!!
  15. I have to say the internet. As a 13 yr old, I have a lot of time on my hands. But, do to my dads tight schedule, I don't get much time on the water.
  16. Boats - 1974 Lund 15 ft fish and ski, 1971 50 horse Johnny. 1997 grumman 1254 Vee, 1988 4 horse E'rude Tow vehicles- 1989 Chevy silverado 3/4 ton long bed. 350 engine. 1994 suburban 3/4 ton. 454 engine. 1998 tahoe 350 engine. The tahoe is the main truck for the Grumman. The Lund is undergoing restoration but the suburban will be its main tow vehicle. The pickup is left for the dirty work. It will still carry 2 tons in the bed.
