Looking to buy a new bass boat
Looking at buying a brand new Falcon F205 with a Suzuki outboard. Anybody have any experience or know anyone with a Falcon (F195, F205, F215)? How do they like it? My backup plan is a Skeeter ZX200. Thanks!

Need help choosing rods!!!
I would recommend the Dobyns 736 Champion XP F/H for your frog rod due to its versatility. IMO, the St Croix 7'4 H will not be able to handle the Huddleston 68s near as well as the 736 will be able to. For your flipping rod, there are a ton of good options from Dobyns, Megabass, St Croix, etc. What budget for both rods are you considering?

What’s your favorite rod and spinning reel?
Rod: Megabass Destroyer X7 Simoom Reel: Daiwa Exist LT 2500 XH or Rod: Megabass Destroyer USA Addermine Reel: Shimano Stella FJ 2500 HG

9. I haven't figured it out yet. But most of the songs are older songs haha. Are we showing are ages? Or do we happen to all enjoy older music. I will continue to contribute with the following:

Balance
Very interesting. I typically like to have a reel in mind when I am looking for a rod as it can impact the rod choice. Balance is largely impacted by the way the fisherman holds the rod/reel as we all have our own unique ways of doing things. While I do prefer a shorter handle for certain techniques (jerkbaits, topwater, etc), but I like a longer handle length on my bottom contact casting rods. It just goes to show that fishing is 99% individual preference and no way is the "right" way.

Quantum?
WC Bradley Co. owns Quantum. They also own Van Staal, Fin Nor, Zebco, Quantum, etc. WC Bradley is based in my hometown. I truly believe there marketing is just subpar as they manufacturer some good quality products. I would buy Quantum products before I would buy a couple other more prominent brands products.

Revo ALX
The reel was ok, but the reel is being discontinued by Abu Garcia by the Abu Garcia AL-F which is a nice improvement.

Curado DC............Catastrophe?
Perfectly said. I agree. You deserve a trophy haha.

Curado DC............Catastrophe?
I have yet to hear of a problem from countless people (more than 10 people) that I fish with locally. I have been enjoyed them with no issues.

It's so hot...........
Does Portugal see these types of temperatures often?
-
It's so hot...........
I have never been all along the east coast but never been out west other than Las Vegas. From my experience, the Southeast hot and humid climate (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, South Carolina, etc) is worse than anything I have experienced anywhere else. While both can be uncomfortable, I think hot and humid is at time almost unbearable. Currently, it's not too bad though.

New reels coming out or others
It all depends. Do you have rods set aside that you have already selected for the reels? I would select the reel based on your applications, price range, as well as what balances the rods you plan to use best. The DC will be hard to beat.

It's so hot...........
What makes Florida and the Southeast unique is the humidity in the Southeast is unmatched, whereas Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of California are hot and dry. For example, where I live humidity is usually north of 50% to 99%. If you looked it up it shows Atlanta, GA receives north of 50 inches of annual rainfall versus LA is around 20 inches. One of the major difference is the Southeast is getting a lot of rainfall as of lately thus keeping the summer temperatures down as we constantly see 90-100+ with high humidity. The climate of Florida is subtropical with South Florida having a tropical climate. Ultimately, both can be miserable at times.

Decisions decisions! $200 or a little more. Advice appreciated
I highly recommend the following rods and reels in your budget of around $200: Reels: Daiwa Fuego LT, Shimano NASCI, Pfluegar President, Shimano Sedona, Daiwa Exceler LT. Rods: St Croix Mojo Bass, Shimano Exage (or wait for Shimano SLX), Dobyns Fury, ALX Ikos, and 1(3) Fishing rods under $100 are good as well. There are a ton of options, but these are just a few I can recommend as I have some experience with them. You'll get some more feedback from some other guys soon. Goodluck on your search!?

Post a photo a day!
How far is this area from Sacremento? I don't think there is any projected rain either. Are the firefighter just trying to redirect the fire to rural areas? I couldn't imagine being able to control massive wildfires.

What other hobbies/passions
Dang. I just saw they booked it for UFC 230 at Madison Square Garden. That will be an awesome fight. I heard that the UFC is waiting to announce McGregor vs Khabib at UFC 229 in October in Las Vegas. Have you heard anything about it?

What other hobbies/passions
Haha definitely. He's 41 years old and so muscular it's crazy. Did you see Paulo Costa called out Romero? That would be an awesome fight.

Rod Choice?
Being in a kayak would greatly impact the desired length of rod and handle length especially when sitting. This is why some company are introducing kayak rods focused on kayak anglers as they typically (not all) prefer shorter rod and shorter handles for certain applications. This was the thought behind the St Croix Yak Series. Read a few of these comments in the topic for kayaks on the forum. However, these are only preferences, it all boils down to conformability which is different for everyone.

Braid, fluro & rocks
Definitely. You are exactly on point with my view. IMO we all try to make generalizations about line as it makes it easier to talk about such as mono is more abrasion resistant than fluoro which is true for the most part but ultimately it depends on which mono and which fluoro. I would bet if he tested Trilene XL Smooth Cast versus Sunline Shooter, Sunline Shooter would hold up better. However, a test of Trilene Big Game versus Seaguar Invizx, Big Game would hold up better. Each line was designed to achieve a specific characteristic as Invizx and Abrazx are designed for different applications.
