I'm sure we have all gone through this struggle. I tried to simplify things in a way that works for me. I keep three basic colors: a variation of Black/Blue, a variation of Green pumpkin and White. I do not limit myself to any one manufacturer for all of them but limit myself to one manufacturer per type. Meaning... I buy YUM Dingers only. I buy GY double tail grubs along with SK Menace Grub (two really different types of action). I buy Kalin's Lunker Grub for single tails. Etc, etc... Additionally, if there is a color that really works in my area outside of the three basic color groups I will buy that as well. But for the most part B/B and GP work great.

River minnow is my favorite as well.

Shore fishing. Really looking for any lake that my son and I can have a good time at.

Any lakes I should hit or avoid? Mainly looking for bass. Any suggestions are appreciated.

For those of you using VMC, what size would you use for KVD 1.5 and 2.5? Thx in advance.

If so, how do the compare to the KVD 1.5/2.5? I used the Crush Flat 75X over the weekend and love everything about them. Wondering what your experiences are with the 50/100. Thx in advance.

Yeah, I saw that after I submitted my post which is why I then deleted it. I looked for 15 minutes and didn’t see what was right in front of me. My bad.

Just google ‘6th sense 75x sale’ and it comes up pretty quickly. Second page I think. I picked up 4 this morning. Thx for the heads up.

Pairing it with a MHF rod for bladed/football/swim jigs, spinnerbaits, lipless crankbaits and soft swimbaits. Also need one one for a MM rod for jerkbaits, squarebills and poppers. Any recommendations on these two reels for these two applications? Thx for the input.

Why lighter lures with these reels? I was considering the 70 paired with a heavy rod for flipping/pitching, frogs and other top water. Is that not the right type of combo?

Plano Elite Medium Crankbait oraganizer. 3707-07 This one works the best, imo. You can easily tuck the treble hooks underneath so when you go to grab one it’s not connected to six others. Plus you can store more. From left to right I have Spro Aruku 1/2, spro Aruku 5/8, kvd red eye shad 1/2, 6th sense 75X (two rows) kvd 1.5 and kvd 2.5 (two rows each). Multiple rows left over for miscellaneous crankbaits. For the the kvds (both 1.5 and 2.5) I have one row of silent for less stained waters and one row of rattles (usually chartreuse and orange color) for dirtier water.

The answer I was looking for is “yellow. It looks way more yellow”. ? I’ll order one one and check it out. Thx for the input.

Which color is that? I’ve looked at his color chart a dozen times and haven’t seen that one.

I was in Erewhon and they had a rack of polarized sun glasses. I found one that looked exactly like my $200 ray bans. I think I paid $25

I have no doubt you are correct, but I'm a sucker for a skirt. Just can't help it. Lots of good colors here. Thanks for the input all.

Rods: Fox River Reels: Daiwa, Lews, Shimano. All three manufacturers are great so I just pick a reel that best meets my needs for each particular pole/bait Line: Sufix and Sunline Hooks: Owner and Gamakatsu Soft Plastics: no loyalty here. I just buy what works Jigs: Siebert Outdoors Hard Plastics: again, no loyalty here.

I have a handful of SK KVD 1.5s and 2.5s. Most local ponds I fish aren’t very deep. But I do want to buy a few for the times I run across deeper water. What brand is your favorite? What about color? Most waters I fish are stained so I imagine 10-15 feet deep is pretty hard to see. Probably chartreuse or a bone white? Also thinking rattles are a good idea. Was looking at a Glo-Pro GP2. They have little glow sticks which I thought is interesting. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks for the replies. I was leaning towards the Daiwa and this just reinforced my thoughts.

Looking at them both in 7.3:1 and pairing it with a MHF rod. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
