Go to FAQs where you will find links to Senko threads. I DO NOT want this turned into another Senko discussion, but it might be just what you are looking for. 8-)

Any chillie heads, or spicy food lovers???
Heat should enhance the flavor not overwhelm the pallet. People have different thresholds to tolerate spicy foods. I enjoy a variety of sauces, but over the years, the flavor of Tabasco Sauce has remained my favorite. A close second is Cholula's. For cooking, my preference is pickled jalapeno peppers, more flavor and less heat. When cooking for others just remember: You can add heat, but it's hard to reduce. With my family that means adding the jalapeno and Tabasco to my bowl after the cooking is done. 8-)

Jig & Float for fall
Jim Duckworth joined the forum just to comment that he and his clients have caught "hundreds of smallmouth over 5 lbs using a float & fly. That was directed primarily to a post I made, referencing Fred Mc Clintock who has said this is "a method of last resort". Slow, boring and not very productive. Opposite views from two well know and respected guides. 8-)

If you could only have 5 lures in your box...
1. 6" Senko 2. Fat Ika 3. Gitzit 4. LC Sammy 5. Jig & Trailer But there is so much more you "need". My favorite lure class is jerkbaits. The Silver Blue/Orange Excalibur Xr50 is a must. Cavitron Buzzbait, Rage Tail Anaconda, Chug Bug, spinnerbaits and crankbaits running various depths have their time and place. The hundreds (thousands?) of lures some guys have aren't just for fishing, many of us are collectors. This year I have fished more lures than any other time, but I'm still not close to using 25% of what I own. I'm sure that's the case with many of our members, and yet, we're still looking for the next new thing! : 8-)

Any enthusiasts here??
Maybe these reels aren't high enough up the ladder, but I don't find the Metanium or my super tuned Scorpion to be all that "special". To be more specific, comparable reels like the domestic Chronarch and CH50MG seem just as refined as the JDM counterparts. 8-)

Thanks guys! We have more than doubled the participation, but we would still like more! It might not seem like a big deal, but the new guys that take the time to introduce themselves appreciate the welcome. -Kent

Hello there everyone!...
Welcome aboard! I'm a big striper fan, too. However, this is a freshwater bass forum (largemouth, smallmouth. Kentucky bass). One of the sections is "Other Species". That is the section to post striper comments and questions. 8-)

Nope...EXACTLY the same bait. 8-)

tubbin for brownies
Instead of just dragging the tube or fishing with an occasional hop, try working it fast with high leaps and long falls. In current, smallmouth must make a quick decision when bait comes flying by. This is simply another presentation to try. 8-)

NEW REVOS AND PFLUEGERS AT TW
Spose to be fun... I don't know anyone that actually cares about what someone else fishes. People are curious and many are just getting started or need some help. A reason for some bias is the "been there, done that" factor. Some products we just like better, but some really do offer superior performance. So, buy some new Revos and Pfluegers, post your initial thoughts and observations over time. We have a lot of members very loyal to both brands and many more that would like to consider owning this equipment themselves. Let's all lighten up, this stuff is not life threatening. 8-)
