  1. Take cover... It's "War Of The Worlds" ;D ;D ;D
  2. Your rod & reel sounds fine to me, but you should lose the braid. 8-)
  3. Geez...Those are some fine fish! 8-)
  4. Better late than never... Welcome aboard! 8-)
  5. "Actually" I just quoted the question and the answer is a resounding, YES!
  6. You went off topic and your post was deleted. Regarding the Curado, re-read the post in context: If you only fish once a month and don't want to spend extra money on the Core, the Curado is a fine reel. Regarding the Stella FD, it's a very nice reel! However, if you are interested in "value", the Stradic is a much better deal. -Kent
  7. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  8. ** Moderator Note ** Let's stay on topic. If you want to talk about other reels and other brands, start a new thread. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  9. I don't add anything, but I know a lot of guys do. Go with what ever you are comfortable with and experiment! 8-)
  10. Yep, and if you are a river fisherman, it's all about current! 8-)
  11. Well then, forget about this technique. I don't want those little "nuisance" fish bothering my bait!
  12. The "magic" of the Fat Ika is a little bit "profile", but mostly "action". Although I consider the ideal depth <12' and the presentation weightless and weedless, maybe you could try fishing the bait C-rigged. Fish the rig by moving the weight with a horizontal sweep. This motion will lift the bait. When you hop a C-rig, you hop the weight, but the lure just moves forward. Experiment in clear, shallow water to see what I mean. 8-)
  13. Well, I'm not really a fan of his, but there is little doubt that Tebow is a one man show. No matter who has the ball, Tebow is always the man to watch. Every team knows this and yet, the man is still unstoppable. Greatest College Player ever? I would say so, too! 8-)
  14. That's true. The new Core is definitely "high end". Stick with the Curado 200E7. I recently acquired this reel and the new Curado is an outstanding piece of equipment at a reasonable price. MSRP isn't bad, but these reels are readily available for +/- $150. 8-)
  15. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  16. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  17. There are many more: jerkbait, baitcaster, baitcasting, spinnerbait, spincast, buzzbait, and topwater to name a few. 8-)
  18. Well, I consider reaching the moon one of the greatest achievements in the history of mankind. Now, let's commit that same resolve and determination to solving our energy issues with a similar ten year plan. Frankly, solving this problem should be much easier and would do more for the people of this planet than anything I can think of. 8-)
  19. Welcome aboard! Fish it like a regular worm which would include a slow, steady retrieve. Here are some tips: http://www.ragetail.com/ragetailanaconda.html 8-)
  20. Great post, fish and pics! 8-)
  21. Ain't it something? Rage Tail has come out with several "Must Haves". The Shad, Lobster and Anaconda seem to get the most play, but I expect to hear a lot about the newest offerings once they become more readily available. 8-)
  22. Thanks for the review, I'm a big fan, too! 8-)
  23. Well now, none of this has happened to me in 12 years of fishing Gamakatsu hooks, almost exclusively as single hooks. However, I'm going to heed your advice. Going forward, I'm a Owner Man! 8-)
  24. Well now, seems ridiculous to me, but different strokes for different folks. 8-)
