  1. Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb breaking strength). 8-)
  2. The new Core is probably the ticket, but as Raul suggested on the other thread, the CH50MG is PERFECT and can be bought right now! Shop around if you choose this option. The price should be $150-$185 delivered, not full bore retail. 8-)
  3. 6.5" GYCB Kut Tail or Roboworm 6" Shakin' Zipper. Always on spinning tackle, 7' Medium Power/ Fast Action. Yo-Zuri Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6. Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG Offset Worm Hook. 8-)
  4. I like Lucky Craft Pointers, Rapala Husky Jerks and X-Raps. Specifically: LC Pointer 100, Baby Bass; HJ10, Silver Blue/Orange; and XR8, Glass Ghost. The Lucky Craft Pointers are some of the best lures made. Pointers have a balancing system for long casts and reduced fouling. Most importantly, they suspend perfectly and continue to vibrate slightly even when the lure appears motionless. I have had good luck with the Husky Jerk. This jerkbait has exaggerated side-to-side action which is sometimes just what the fish are looking for. The X-Rap performs best when fish are very active. Rapala calls it a "slash bait" and should be fished aggressively, generally without pause. 8-)
  5. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  6. Just tried to vote again and the site wouldn't let me. Is that how it works or am I doing something wrong?

  8. Back to the fun part...
  9. Yes, but in Florida it might be too much for just passing showers and otherwise bight sun. I carry $2 Wal-Mart specials in my tackle bag for emergencies. The Guidewear would definitely work for you November through March. Spring through early fall, this would be you choice for "fishable rain", especially if you venture out into the sea. -Kent

  11. All of it... I would look for another pond. 8-)
  12. If you want something that will last a decade or two, Cabela's Guidewear is the ticket. They are on sale often and occasionally in the Bargain Cave. Mine are uninsulated so I can wear them year around, layering warmer garments in the winter. I have mine on in my avatar. Rating: Dead Solid Ten 8-)
  13. The IMX series is what defines G. Loomis. You will have one of the best rods on the planet, guaranteed! 8-)
  14. My fishing partner is a guide and he carries Omega for some of his clients. I have fished them some for bait and think they're great. My buddy is on his third season with them, no maintenance has been performed and they are "brand new". Just what the doctor ordered! 8-)
  15. Most (all?) Vin Diesel movies. :
  16. My vote is in for ya! Is this like a Chicago election? Can we vote early and often or just once? -Kent ;D ;D ;D
  17. If you are looking for another suggestion, I caught my PB on a Norman Fat Boy, bluegill pattern. http://www.***.com/descpageHDCNORMAN-NFBC.html 8-)
  18. It's the only "fluke" I fish. 8-)
  19. On a commercial river, like the Tennessee, pleasure boats and fishing boats, have no impact on the fishing. Barges on the other hand move so much water, their wake stirs the bottom and usually results in some of the best opportunities for a bite. It's all good! 8-)
  20. The best investment there is for fisherman that fish from a boat is a lure retriever, period...Still, in a rocky environment, especially on a river, the "life expectancy" of a jig is very short. However, my theory is: If you aren't getting hung-up, your aren't fishing in the right place to begin with. The bottom line is that you should expect to lose jigs or fish something else. 8-)
  21. Hmm... Let's start from the top: 1. Rig the Fat Ika skirt forward, weightless and weedless on a 4/0 EWG Offset Worm Hook. 2. If fishing from shore, cast parallel to the bank, out 5-15 yards. From land or boat, target cover or structure when it's an option. 3. Allow the bait to fall to the bottom on slack line. If it reaches the bottom, let it sit for a minute, then move the bait forward 6-12" with a slow, horizontal sweep. Let it fall on slack line. Repeat until you feel you are "out of the zone." The 5'" Senko is the most productive lure of all time. The Fat Ika might be a close second. Here's the "Guarantee": http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 Good luck! 8-)
