  1. fishin-boy, I have cleaned up the last two threads where guys have poked fun at you. We have a broad range of ages and skill sets among our members and personal abuse is unacceptable. That said, you need to spend some time reading articles in the BassResource.com Library, "Fishing Articles" and "Tacklebox" at the top of the page. Before participating in the Forum, you need a basic understanding of terms. Also, if you are really 14, you need to be paying more attention at school, especially in your English class. An occasional typing error is one thing, but your posts are an abomination of the written language. At the very least, use the "Check spelling" we provide before submitting your post. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  2. For those ?......... never; I 've fished it for piña coladas, cuba libres and margaritas and it was a blast right then , don 't ask about later ---> I hired a guide and fished a day. BIG mistake. Enjoy the beach, the resort and do some clubbing. Forget about fishing, it's nothing more than "tourist fishing" and a total waste of time. I am totally serious... >
  3. $34.75 A week or so ago, everyone was hoping to get back below $35 and here we are. The glut has grown with more than 80 million barrels floating around on tankers with no place to go. ;D ;D ;D ;D
  4. 1. Yes, slower is better. 2. Yes, but some overlap. 3. Yes. 4. Yes. 5. I don't think it makes any difference and I don't think you need to maintain contact. 6. Rarely fish at night. Nighttime is for drinkin'! 7. Bass are stupid. Find 'em, catch 'em. 8. Yes, I have seen a few posted around here. However, I have no intention of throwing big ones, it's too much work or I'm just a sissy. 8-)
  5. This is how I break it down: Spinning tackle: Hybrid or Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test) Baitcasting gear: #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) Give it a try. If you don't like it, give it away or throw it away. The downside is $4.88. 8-)
  6. Hair grows from a hair follicle which you either have or don't on any area of your body. So how is it that after 50 years of dormancy, guys suddenly have hair growing out of their ears? :-/
  7. We had a short-lived bump over $40 when the January contract expired. There hasn't been a reason for gasoline at the pump to go up! It should be near recent lows, not up 30-40 cents. $35.31 right now. >
  8. $35.60 this morning. We are being ripped-off at the pump! >
  9. Clear is just okay. In small diameters it doesn't matter, but in larger sizes the line stands out a little. 8-)
  10. Be patient and pick up a Citica from our Flea Market in your price range, they pop up every now and then. This is a fine reel that will serve you well for many years. Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. This is what Shimano reels are all about. 8-)
  11. Well, a lot of guys are "collectors". For example, I have a fairly extensive collection of jerkbaits. Most have never been fished. I don't think beautiful lures are just for catching bass. I suspect that most of the guys here that don't need a thing for the rest of their lives will spend more money on tackle this year than those that are still building their stash. It's the nature of the beast. 8-)
  12. Specifications: http://www.yo-zuri.com/Products/Prodline/HybridLineChart.htm Hybrid is a bonded, not coated, nylon/fluorocarbon copolymer. In smaller diameters (#4 & #6) the line is virtually invisible in water; larger diameters blend well. The line is impervious to water and ultraviolet light so it lasts indefinitely. Abrasion resistance is comparable to P-Line CXX, Trilene XT or Big Game and it floats. 8-)
  13. Now this isn't Ultra Soft, it's original formula and only limited sizes. I generally prefer green for ultra clear water and smoke for everything else. I ordered 2 X 1000 #6 Smoke which I will treat with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner and spool up on spinning tackle. 8-)
  14. 1000 yards for $4.88 http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_10201217____CROSSSELL_PRODUCT?ordProd=Y&CMID=BOTTOM_selectitems#itemDetail 8-)
  15. Living on the edge of a sewer, my community has learned the value of well paid law enforcement. We still have scumbags sneaking over at night, so theft and burglary are issues. However, we have only had one homicide in over a decade and the perps were put away for life. Apprehend, prosecute and incarcerate...no deals! With regard to breaking in while I'm home...There will be no trial. >
  16. And that's enough, so let's move on. Goodnight Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  17. Back to a 35 handle: $35.86 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  18. This will work for you just fine, but wait until it comes on sale. BPS has their combinations on sale all the time. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_102965_100003001_100000000_100003000_100-3-1 8-)
  19. What's your point? This thread that you started just seems designed to get a rise out of people. This thread is closed. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  20. I'll let you know. We (Glenn) has been working on system updates, but this might just be a glitch. They were origninally taken off to discourage posting just to bump up the count. So, we'll see.
  21. Maybe you should consider a part-time job interviewing potential new hires at the local gentleman's club. I don't know much about the pay, but the benefit package is pretty good. ;D ;D
  22. The colors I like are 021 and 330. 8-)
  23. I fish a craw sometimes as a jig trailer...The best of both worlds! 8-)
