  1. How long ya been snowed in? Tunnel over to a neighbor's house and watch the BCS Championship this evening. Bring your own whiskey! 8-)
  2. I think we're all done... Goodnight Irene. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  3. Gotcha! That makes perfect sense. 8-)
  4. If Oklahoma wins, only Texans have a gripe, but if Florida wins that puts USC, Utah and Texas into play. Do you think tonight's winner is the "Undisputed National Champion"? 8-)
  5. He lives on top of a mountain. Plenty of snow and wind and maybe some run-off, but I doubt that flooding is an issue. 8-)
  6. Good luck! Try to work in some exercise, just walking is enough. Most people need the combo to be successful. 8-)
  7. Yep. I guess he hasn't seen this thread. He used to fish for money, seems like 18K was his biggest payout. 8-)
  8. What's the name of the diet you just started? I need me some of that! :

  10. Simp I'm going to be very cold Feb 9th!!! Well I just got back from from our local club meeting and we got our tourney dates. I thought we might have one in late Feb but not in early Feb! We have a power plant lake near by and one end is heated pretty well. Apparently they usually spawn in Feb or early march on that end. That's great and all but here in IL come Feb it's usually VERY COLD! We've had our very warm days this winter but you should see the pics I've seen of them out there. I guess I need some overalls, a face mask, and a decent pair or two of fishing gloves by then. I just hope it's not 15 degrees with snow and 50-60 degree water. My fishing buddy fishes in a College club and he has to be out there Jan 30! I'll probably go check out that tourney and get the low down on what and where is producing. I hear all the time that many people win tourneys there on Red rattle traps and I have one and I could pick a Red Eye in red as well. I've also thought about picking up a Tru Tungsten 4 inch in red craw but I always say to myself what fish is red? I mean seriously if they are after a red rattle trap and that doesn't' mimic any fish really, it's just more of a trigger color. Then what could will a hyper realistic swim bait in red do for me that a Red eye won't at a quater of the price? The only thing that I can come up with is that the swimming action probably acts as good as a trigger as the red does. Any thoughts? Note: This thread was moved from General, but the original was lost.
  11. Youy're not paying attention...Some of the best sticks in California are after the record and have already caught much bigger bass. It ain't luck! 8-)
  12. I like the frog pattern, but I'm partial to green anyhow. I bought a couple several years ago, fished them once, caught a fish on both and put them away. They're just about too cool to fish! However, I fished the lure with CJ and ghoti on Kentucky Lake last summer and caught several bass. You won't be diasappointed. 8-)
  13. I just found this on their website (FAQs): 3. Where are your rods built? All of our rods and blanks are hand crafted here in Woodland, Washington. 8-)
  14. I'm not 100% sure that entry level rods are made here, but G. Loomis has always made their rods in Woodland, Washington.
  15. What's next? How 'bout banning fat girls from wearing spandex at Wal-Mart? There's got to be several health issues involved. :
  16. Welcome aboard! The Cali boys will be by later, but if you don't get a response by tomorrow, I'll ask some members to reply. 8-)
  17. G. Loomis built their reputation with the IMX. Start there or buy another brand. I am very happy with my St. Croix Avids and Legend Elite. 8-)
  18. Oil is down $6.01 on the day at $42.57 ;D ;D ;D
  19. Welcome aboard! We have several guys fishing the Zillion rods, but if you don't get the answer by tomorrow, send The_Natural a PM. He has his hands around these rods. 8-)
  20. I know it seems silly, but the MBR843 is a COMPLETELY different rod than the 844. 8-)
  21. Okay then, for something more unique: PR844S. This rod is a popping rod, designed for light salt water. Obviously, that means it's well suited for topwater, but for me, it's my dedicated smallmouth rod used to fish live bait. I also use it occasionally for swimming soft plastics (Slug-Go, Kreature and Swim Senko). It also comes as a baitcaster, PR844C. The rod has a soft tip, but once loaded it is a powerful weapon. 8-)
  22. IMX or GLX MBR844C If you don't have one, you need one! 8-)
  23. Spinning: AVS68MXF AVS70MF Both are great, but you don't need to replace your AVS66MF with these. Casting (this is where the issue is): CBR787C MBR783C AVCMHF AVC66MF is a better choice for an "all around" treble hook rod. I use mine for spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, too. MBR844C MBR845C MBC70HF (Mojo Bass rod) If I only had one rod, it would be the IMX or GLX MBR844C. Although this is my dedicated jig rod, it is capable of doing anything you want with with medium-medium heavy lures. 8-)
