  1. Yep... 35-0...........................................................I'm off to bed!
  2. Great advice! In the fall, the bass focus on the abundance of mature baitfish, schooling and bunched up. This is the very best time of year for crankbaits, jerkbaits and in many cases, topwater and buzzbaits. 8-)
  3. It looks like "Congratulations Sooners!". I'm not taking anything away from Oklahoma, but geez, the Jayhawks had their opportunities. Both teams need to find an answer on defense. Stay tuned, Horns vs. Tigers in an hour. Big XII rules! 8-)
  4. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  5. Great fish! 8-)
  6. Lowest price in the Memphis area is Gibson BP on Riverside: $2.57 However, with a Schnucks gas card and maximum discount, $2.19 8-)
  7. ...you think more money should go to important scientific research at your university than to pay the salary of the head football coach. Classic! 8-)
  8. Man, that looks like a winner to me! 8-)
  9. It's all about being in the right spot at the right time. If the conditions favor a buzzbait, the performance of the Cavitron will exceed the hype! This is an exceptional lure, but again, "right place, right time." 8-)
  10. Stick with Shimano reels: Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. Be patient and keep an eye on our Flea Market section, reels come up every week. You should be able to find a wrong-handed Citica for $75 or less, the Curado D is a possibility. Good luck! 8-)
  11. Welcome aboard! Tom Reddington posts regular Lake Fork fishing reports in this section of the forum. I'm sure he will have detailed information for your trip as we get a little closer. 8-)
  12. Great post! That fish is a beauty. 8-)
  13. Wow! Great post. 8-)
  14. I don't get it...There's some good idears... 8-)
  15. Top ten from a number of members: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1143177139 Here's another in "Must Have" lures: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1199915688 8-)
  16. I wish you guys all the luck in the world, but don't let your guard down. - A week is good, a month is better - A rowdy night of drinking and no cigs is a milestone - A long drive, especially at night, is another challenge - Then after a year and no smokes, you can say "I've quit" BTW, "Just once in awhile" won't work either. Been there, done that. Seriously, I'm rooting for you. Good luck!
  17. Use what ever you have for treble hooks and save your money until next spring for a new jig/ soft plastics rod.
  18. Pretty cool... I know you posted this illustration before, but I didn't know you were the artist! 8-)
  19. This entire section is dedicated to smallmouth fishing. Why don't you spend some time reading back through the first 50 pages or so? Just about everything all our members know about the species is here.
  20. I suspect it's all about delivery. We had the same situation in Memphis vs. Nashville and the eastern part of Tennessee when hurricane Ike struck. Over time, regional gas prices should be about the same. The biggest variance is generally among states due to fuel taxes. Around here gasoline is always cheaper across state lines in Mississippi and Arkansas. BTW, If you re-read the original post from August 8th, we have reached my projected range. If oil maintains current levels the retail price of gas will be in that $1.75 - $2.25 range shortly. Some parts of the country are already there! 8-)
  21. Remarkable! 8-)
  22. ;D ;D ;D ;D BREAKTHROUGH! ;D ;D ;D ;D $69.02
