  1. I do not agree with that. I guess "trout" are out for you... :
  2. It's not always about "what" you use, but the "where" and "how". Try this, but go ahead and just use your 4" Senkos: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1158577137 8-)
  3. You have 10 posts.
  4. You got it goin' man! 8-)
  5. Actually, I don't think you need another knot. The Palomar Knot works universally. I just like to play with some other knots ocassionally and the Sixteen-Twenty is pretty! 8-)
  6. I do think KVD Line & Lure Conditioner improves line management, raising the "fun rating" from 9.5 to 10. 8-)
  7. This is a slightly different version called a Sixteen-Twenty, Duncan or Pitzen Knot: http://206.210.94.83/assets/recommended_knots/pdf/fhf_knot_sixteen_twenty.pdf This knot effectively creates a noose. With the San Diego Jam, the tag is run through the bottom loop before finishing through the top loop: http://www.proknot.com/Fishing_Knots/San_Diego_Jam_Knot/san_diego_jam_knot.html I prefer the Sixteen-Twenty and use it with heavier line (.013" diameter and greater). 8-)
  8. The 1100: http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_1100/ 8-)
  9. You can find this used, but in perfect condition in your price range. The Remington 870 is classic: http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/ 8-)
  10. That lure you built is REALLY cool! I bet we're going to be seeing some big bass pics shortly. Good luck! 8-)
  11. Now, that's some good advice! 8-)
  12. Yep! I think that's what they had in mind. "Free" replacement along with everything else you "need". 8-)
  13. ;D ;D CONGRATULATIONS on your new PB! ;D ;D 8-)
  14. You won't have any problem. 8-)
  15. I have had encounters with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Like every other aspect of life, most are easy going and a few aren't. The only thing that use to bother my partner and I was getting checked time and again by the same guys. Solution: Invited them to fish with us... Problem solved! 8-)
  16. No. Spinnerbaits trigger a "reaction" bite. Scent is not a factor. 8-)
  17. Welcome aboard! Shine 'em up, replace the blades or... Get some new spinnerbaits is probably the best answer. 8-)
  18. Most of my stuff has never been used. I always test new hardbaits in my pool, but otherwise they have never been wet! If I claimed to use 20% of my tackle, I think that would be an exaggeration. As far as rods and reels go, I try to use all of them occasionally throughout the year, but it's usually only one or two during a day on the water. 8-)
  19. The SJR783S is the biggest seller, but the 843 is the same rod in a 7' version. Buy whichever length you prefer, 100% satifaction, guaranteed! 8-)
  20. Set your drag with a scale! For 12 lb line that's 3 - 3.5 lbs. A fish in open water should never break your line. BTW, Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 = 19 lb test. :
  21. Great advice! I had a Bayliner Fish & Ski. I was mostly "Ski". :
  22. There should be some great buys on the Legend Elite lin-up, too. St. Croix introducced their new rods at ICAST a couple of weeks ago. I expect to see a fire sale on some of the Shimano reels shortly. Great deals are on the horizon! 8-)
  23. Welcome aboard! Lure suggestions: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1199915688 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1143177139 Equipment: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229 8-)
  24. No doubt soft plastics and jigs have accounted for the most big fish caught over the years. With the growing number of swimbait aficionados, that may be changing. If it's numbers your after, the 5" Senko rules. 8-)
  25. I think you will find the Mist Green to be a good match in most water. The "clear" is a somewhat chalky white, but I fish it, too! I think "clear" looks better on some of my reels, how's that for a reason to buy a certain color? 8-)
