  5. I rig the Slug-Go weightless and fish it with subtle twitches to immitate a feeding minnow. 8-)
  6. "Regular price" should be about $12. 8-)
  7. Just make sure you get the one called "Ultra Soft". The regular type (the one without those words) is rather stiff. I use it on one of my casting reels and I can tell that your spinning reel isn't going to like it. Look for Ultra Soft. #4 or #6 original formula Hybrid will be fine on spinning tackle, but treating any line with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner will make it more manageable.
  8. The St. Croix Avid AC66MF has a soft tip. This is my all-around rod for treble hook lures, buzzbaits and spinnerbaits, but it really shines working topwater and jerkbaits. 8-)
  9. Yeah, you could have said 8! Nice fish. Just the light in the picture or was it really that dark? 8-)
  10. WOW! Now, that's something special...Can't wait to see the replica! 8-)
  11. Ain't it somethin'? If I had this advice a decade ago, I'd have a few hundred dollars invested and a few thousand in my pocket! :

  17. I would focus on the 30' drop: Hair jig; Silver Buddy; 3/4 oz Ledgebuster Single Willow Blade. 8-)
  18. Welcome aboard! That's when I have caught most of my biggest bass! The best time is between 10 o'clock AM and 3:00 PM. I fish structure in deep water or immediately adjacent to deeper water. 8-)
  19. Man, I'm getting a lot of mileage out of this thread today. It must have something to do with water conditions around the country this time of year! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1180909581 8-)
  20. My situation on a local pond (The Secret Pond!) is similar. I had been killin' 'em on a jig until the spirogyra took over. Over the holiday I spent a few hours early and mid-day on the water. I caught twelve nice bass, three on Mattlures Shad and the rest on the GYCB Kreature, including my best of the year! 8-)

  22. Is that the PB in your avatar? It will be interesting to compare the pics when you get the replica back. 8-)
