  1. Oh-oh! I hear Mr. Senko and Mr. Fat Ika calling... : If you are fishing weeds, especially early or late, the GYCB Kreature and Swimming Senko have been getting rave reviews: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1180909581 http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1186198349
  2. Geez, We just had six pages of discussion on this last week: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1187794805
  3. I fish XPoint and Gamakatsu 4/0 EWG Offset Worm Hooks almost exclusively with soft plastics. My hook-up ratio is north of 95% and the landing ratio once hooked-up is much higher.
  4. Soft plastics: Micro Munch Tackle El Gordo tube GYCB Kut-Tail GYCB Laminated Lizard Jig & pig Hard baits: DD22 Ledgebuster 3/4 oz Single Willow Blade spinnerbait
  5. Generally, I like "moving lures" in the morning, finesse lures during the day.
  6. Here is the BPS sale: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_29742_100002002_100000000_100002000_100-2-2 The baitcasters are on sale, too, I just didn't copy them. Dick's has a better price, but their selection is limited and I guess that's not an option for you anyhow. The deal at BPS is pretty good and if you are looking for a SPECIFIC model, you better jump on it. This is a liquidation sale to make room for the new Avids, there will be no backorders.
  7. Mighty fine. Congratulations! 8-)
  8. Great addition. Congratulations and Welcome Aboard!
  9. You might find Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #12 to be just what you're looking for, although I am currently using both original formula and Ultra Soft and like both on baitcasting gear. (I bought some original when BPS had 1000 yard spools on sale for $6.88). Once my orginal formula is gone, I'll be back to Ultra Soft only. Back to the CTE200GT: I am not familiar with any internal brake adjustments. Is ReelMech in the house?
  10. Fat Ika (watermelon with black flakes) 6" Senko (same coloor) Lucky Craft Pointer 100 or 128 (Original Tennessee Shad)

    Nice bass!
  12. Primetime is just around the corner! The key is current, so check the TVA website when planning a day on the water. You'll find the best fishing is below the dams, not on the lakes.
  13. Well, I may be retarded... I have two of them which I have been fishing for a few years. I am not aware of an internal adjustment. Please clue me in, seriously.
  14. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daiwa? What's wrong with you? Just kidding... : Congratulations on your new reel, I'm sure you will like it very much.
  15. Spinning: Shimano Stradic 2500FH (current model) on sale $75-$100; St. Croix Avid AS68MXF on sale $65-$85. Baitcasting: Shimano Citica $100- $120 or Curado $160 (Delo's); St. Croix Avid AC68MXF on sale $65-$85.
  16. Hmm... I would say you have just purchased on of the sweetest rigs on the planet! Congratulations! 8-)
  17. Okay, it has nothing to do with Action or Power. Here is a specific example (rods I own) that will make it clear: Next time you are at BPS, Cabelas or another full-line store, compare a couple of St. Croix rods: Avid AC66MF v. Legend Elite AS70MF. Both rods are rated MF, but the Avid has a soft tip, the LE is firm.
  18. Hmm... I'd say you spent a lot of money on all the wrong line. :
  19. I was trying to track with you until you got here. What's up with this comment?
  20. I think you might like the reel. : Great buy!
  21. I'm impressed. This doesn't happen too often around her or ANYWHERE else. You da Man! 8-)
