  1. Gary's deal is "I will pay for the trip as long as I don't have to go to the park". So, that's how I get invited!
  2. The legend says when a person comes into contact with the Rougarou and sheds the blood of the beast, the Rougarou will then be changed back to its human form. The victim then becomes the Rougarou for 101 days.Oct 20, 2016
  3. Finder's keepers!
  4. No, we fished where our guides and hosts took us. Maybe next time we can get together with you. -Kent
  5. Well, if you are using the fluorocarbon as a mainline, I strongly recommend starting with InvizX. This line is significantly more manageable than Red Label. If it is just being used as leader, the Red Label will be fine.
  6. ghoti took his family to Disney World for a week and invited me to join them. The ladies and grandkids wore out the parks, Gary and I fished four days. ToHo three days, Stick Marsh/ Farm 13 one day. The weather impacted us on two of the days, but we still caught fish. On our best day we landed 24 bass between us. As you might expect, our four best fish (that we actually saw) came unbuttoned.
  7. Well, we hired a guide for two days and a BR member took us out another day on ToHo. Another member took us out on Stick Marsh/ Farm 13. Over a four day period we caught some bass on artificials, but killed 'em on golden shiners.
  8. ToHo just outside Orlando (Disney World).
  9. I recommend fluorocarbon leader for braided line ALL THE TIME. The advantages are stealth, abrasion resistance and the ability to break-off when you need to. My recommendation is Seaguar Gold Label. The length is 6" beyond the tip of the rod to about 6" outside the reel. Generally, I use #6 for spinning tackle, #12 or #15 for baitcasting. My connecting knot is the Alberto.
  10. Well, I think most guys would like a starting point or comments from people they trust. I'm using Tatsu, Smackdown and for treble hooks, Sunline Defier Armilo. However, these are some suggestions for less expensive alternatives: Fluorocarbon: AbrazX and InvizX Copolymer: Yo-Zuri Hybrid, Izorline and P-Line Monofilament: Trilene XL
  11. Retired all my Rat-L-Traps when I switched to the Red Eye Shad.
  12. Yeah, but I still have two being built right now!
  13. Senko, Fat Ika, Rage Tail Structure Bug, Cut-R, Lizard, Space Monkey and Menace.
  14. I guess you will have to stay home and drink.
  15. 50's for next next several days, but next weekend, WATCH OUT! 11* on the horizon.
  16. Give the Kent Craw pattern a try. 3/8 oz Grid Iron G2 https://siebertoutdoors.com/products/ols/products/grid-iron-brush-jig/v/GRD-RN-BRS-JIG27-3-81
  17. If stored properly I think the shelf life is virtually unlimited.
  18. I gave some to my Christmas exchange member. I think he caught a new PB!
