  1. On my local ponds I average a good fish every 1 1/2 hours. I rarely catch any small bass. At Pickwick and other big water, the numbers are better, but the size can be challenging, mostly 3-4 lbs. Much better quality for me below the dam on the river.
  2. Give the 3.75" Rage Tail Swimmer a try: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_Rage_Swimmer_Swimbait/descpage-SKRSW.html Rage Rigged on a 1/4 oz weighted hook: https://www.gamakatsu.com/product/worm-hooks-weighted-superline-spring-lock/
  3. Too cold for me even if those were positive temps!
  4. "Fun" has many forms. I buy lures, but for a lot of guys building them is part of the fun, maybe more fun than fishing!
  5. No estimate, an exact number of times for me: -0-
  6. I cut out early, but you owe me two minutes of life.
  7. Very similar: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_Yamamoto_Neko_Macho_Worm/descpage-DYNM.html
  8. Bugs must not like you!
  9. Geez... Why do you care about the weight of little fish? A bass under 1 lb is worth about what your scale indicates.
  10. One rod, one reel, multiple leaders.
  11. Alabama Rig is THE BOMB! For stripers, only second to live bait.
  12. Dedicated jig and weighted soft plastics for me, but a GREAT all-around rod, too!
  13. Horizontal for chatterbaits, vertical for swim jigs and J-rigged.
  14. Well, I am pretty boring with my Senko presentation. It is the same every day, every season and has been every year for 25 years. It looks just like a Senko. I don't crawl it, I don't twitch it, I don't fish it wacky and I have NEVER fished one weighted. I think the Fat Ika "matches the hatch" a little better, but I have never seen a squid in any of the lakes or rivers I fish.
  15. Some version of a plastic worm has been the most successful artificial bait for decades. If bass relied on a diet of earthworms they would be extinct.
  16. We have an extensive library: https://www.bassresource.com/fishing-lures-articles https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos
