With circle hooks all you need to do is take up the slack and then maintain constant pressure as the bass is running, they will hook themselves, DO NOT SET THE HOOK.

Hold the rod steady at 10 o'clock and reel quickly about five turns , then allow the bait to fall STRAIGHT DOWN on slack line. Repeat until you feel you are "out of the zone". 100% of the strikes will occur on the fall. A few years ago on a BassResource RoadTrip at Pickwick I caught 78 bass in one day!

The best fishing is below the Pickwick Dam. I fished Indian Creek and Bear Creek Saturday without much luck (five bass and just two of them "keepers"). In March the fish should start staging for spawn so I would focus on main points and gravel bottoms. Specifically, Panther Creek, Dry Creek and Yellow Creek.

The ribbing on the Rage Swimmer gives this bait more action at slower retrieve speed. This is an improved version of the original.
