Left handed vs right handed Baitcasters
George Welcome I love bass fishing! Members 15 1,811 posts Location Sebastian, Florida My PB: Please Choose Favorite Bass: Largemouth Favorite Lake or River: Stick Marsh/Farm 13 (IP: 67.35.112.245) · Posted 22 Aug 2007 · Report post Let's get technical, as there are in fact reasons, not just some lame holdover from days past that put the handles where they are. What will move the fish during retrieval is placed to the strong hand! A baitcast is designed to be used as a winch, so it is the reel that retrieves the fish. Hence if you are right handed the handle is in your right hand. A spinning reel is designed to pick up unloaded or loose line, not retrieve the fish. Hence it is the rod that does the retrieval, so it is the rod that is in your strong hand. If you are right handed then the pole goes to the right hand. You like this George Welcome Sebastian Florida

Shadow Rap
I bought the Deep last year, but have not fished them. Wassup with that? So, now I have the new shallow model, too. I'm on my way to Florence this morning and plan to fish both!

Shadow Rap
Why? It looks like the "Next New Thing".

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Well, on the other hand, we all own a whole lot of stuff that hasn't worked out so well. I don't understand why EVERY fisherman would not own ALL of the lures that are claimed to have won a Classic. How much can they suck?

Jerkbait Help/ Advice
I fish jerkbaits some in the summer, but just in low light as a substitute for topwater. For trolling there are some deep diver that will work:

Do You Support Your Local Bait and Tackle Shop?
Both of the stores I mentioned earlier cater to local tournament fishermen and they have built great relationships over time. Another thing that I appreciate is the information they share which is always current. What I am particularly interested in is depth, but sometimes a color or specific presentation is hot,

Sometimes you just get lucky. 00 Mod and I happened to stop at Red's when he was liquidating his Megabass inventory.

Wrong. The only things that narrow down are some techniques you might not like. For me, that's giant swimbaits.

- 5 Ways To Rig A Senko
From the Home Page: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-rig-senko.html I am a little surprised Glenn chose a #2/0 EWG hooks. I always thought 4/0 EWG thin wire was the ticket.- Tackle For A Day
So I have my Man Cave organized with peg board, shelving and then rod holders on one wall. Some of the Plano boxes are somewhat generic, like deep divers for example. Other boxes are seasonal. My "carry on" is a Plano 3700 tackle bag with 5 boxes. Right now I'm loaded for spring, both small jaws and green fish plus stripers; lakes and the Tennessee River. Now here's my tip: I would like to downsized the line-up to 4 rigs, but I seem to be stuck with 8: The Rig, spinnerbait or Chatterbait, Menace, Red Eye Shad, Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad, Megabass Ito Vision 110, 3/8 oz Sierbert Outdoors jig/ Rage Tail Craw (PBJ) and BPS Tender Tube #71. Next is a single Plano 3700 separate from the main tackle bag. This contains EVERYTHING else I think I might need that day. Right now that is more Tender Tubes, Siebert jigs, Rage Tail trailers and a variety of Baby Craws, GYCB Senko, Fat Ika & Kreature, Gitzit )Baby Diaper Yellow), Silver Buddy, Rage Tail Lizard, three more lipless cranks, Wiggle Wart, 6th Sense Crushed 75X, DT6 and 6 more jerkbaits (Megabass, LC, McStick and Rapala Shadow Rap). So, the line-up is set, but just in case my partners have found something else that rocks today, I MIGHT have in my bag. Otherwise, the bag may not get opened.- Early spring lures

Yeah, we all have "confidence" lures, but sometimes with the new stuff it's a random draw. - 5 Ways To Rig A Senko
