Most of the South is threatened, but you Cajuns look like the primary target. Prepare now for later today and especially tonight. Here in Memphis we strong winds (60mph gusts) are in the forecast and 3" of rain, but no tornadoes. We have had a couple of inches the last few days, so flash flooding is expected. Be alert!
  2. Well, I have read that it is not necessary to loosen the drag, but I do it anyhow.
  3. Welcome aboard!
  4. How 'bout "rainy season"?
  5. Welcome aboard!
  6. 33 murders so far in 2016
  7. #1 Kids have to catch fish to have fun so go somewhere easy where you are sure to catch a few. #2 Work with your children and DO NOT fish yourself. This will change down the road. #3 Take along plenty of food, snacks and drinks. #4 Fish as long as they want, but not a minute longer. When they are done, they're done. On the otherhand, they may just need a break so you do something else that's fun for awhile and come back. #5 Tackle should be "easy". Worms, minnows and crickets.
  8. The BassResource.com Library is extensive. Look into the links in green at the top of the page, "Articles". Start here with Rage Tail: http://www.bassresource.com/content/search?SearchText=rage+tail+rigging&BrowsePageLimit=30

  10. Well, I think consolidation might lead to less innovation among the brands mentioned and these are the most popular it seems at "big box stores". However, the internet is your friend! Lucky Craft and Megabass are two perfect examples. Although Rage Tail is marketed to some extent under the Strike King umbrella, Big O continues to design unique product features.
  11. Well, that is not always the case. The vast majority of my success with crankbaits involves swimming the lure OVER and AROUND cover and structure. So for me, vibration and/ or water displacement is "the number one rule of the game".
  12. We have a few guys that REALLY like Red Label, but I think it's something you might want to consider using just for leader.
  13. I still have a few red hooks left over from when they became "The Rage". My experience concluded that red hooks had exactly "zero" influence on catch rate.
  14. I'm with Raul. I fish lures that come with superior hooks. Katsuage are my favorite.
  15. You might want to try an 80 and a 90 to see which you like best. Two colors I have had some luck with are Green Oikawa and American Shad.
