Well, I am definitely "that guy". Man, i can hardly fish with lures that don't compliment my rod, reel and line! I love technique specific gear, too! So what? Well, the deal is almost everything works during pre-spawn, but on a given day some things work better than others. My BEST day ever was fishing the Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad. 78 bass in one day! My partner fished the Red Eye Shad which had just been introduced by Strike King and he killed 'em too!

If you are driving east on Wolf River you will take a left on the west side of the school. One block down take a left into the neighborhood and follow the road about 1/2 mile to the first left which is the entrance to the park. Park and follow the path on foot to the main pond. That is the only one I have ever fished. -Kent

I don't know if this is a common problem, but the solution is easy. #1 Return the reel for exchange. #2 Test the spool tension there at the store.
