  1. I like the GYCB Single Tail Hula Grub. One big advantage is the ability to rig them weedless.
  2. G. Loomis GLX MBR842C/ Core 50MG/ Tatsu #12 St. Croix LES70MF/ Stella 2500FE/ Tatsu #6
  3. Pinnacle: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-optimus-xlt-dhc-review.html St. Croix: AVC70MM G. Loomis: PR844C
  4. WOW! That's pretty specific intel. Why does the box read "HG"?
  5. Well, I have a different take. I don't fish knock-offs or house brands. For the most part I buy brands I trust on sale. These are true "values" and come up all the time. Most recently a new Academy opened in Collierville, near me. They had Rage Tail Menace, 7' Thumpers and Anaconda on sale for 98 cents. When I left there was only a big hole left in the display.
  6. BEE-U-TI-FULL! It's 10* here today and I hear we are in the middle of a major shad kill on the Tennessee River. Going to have to depend on you for big bass reports. Great fish, great pic!
  7. Most soft plastics can last practically forever if they are stored properly.
  8. Everyone wants to hear about great deals, we just prohibit promoting products and companies where people have a business or personal interest.
  9. That's perfect! If you carry a bunch, consider a worm binder to carry the bags.
  10. I was in the 9th grade and attended every Chief's home game that year ('66 season). One of my teachers bought two season tickets in the Wolf Pack at Kansas City's old Municipal Stadium. Super Bowl I as it has come to be known was actually called The World Championship Game, January 15, 1967. Three years later, my senior year of high school, the Chiefs won their first and last World Championship Game (Super Bowl IV) 23-7 against the Minnesota Vikings. The following year the AFL-NFL merged and the "Super Bowl" was born. The Kansas City Chiefs have never been back.
  11. Please read FAQs before posting again. No brand logos unless you are a BR sponsor.
  12. I have never missed a Super Bowl. Around my house this game ranks above Christmas and the Fourth of July, regardless of who's playing. Bronco years are extra special!
  13. When you think garlic smells like JJ's rather than the other way around.
  14. I think sensitivity is a BIG factor with bottom contact baits, specifically soft plastics and jigs. This is where a fellow should step-up.
  15. GYCB Senko in your favorite color (I don't think it makes a difference). GYCB Fat IKa ( again, choose your favorite color) Rage Tail Cut-R (green pumpkin) MegaStrike MegaTube Craw (green & orange)
  16. #3 spinning rig with #10 Tatsu. This line has the same diameter as Yo-Zuri #8, .010". Although that kinda addresses your question, I use #6. My rig is my dedicated soft plastics spinning set-up: St. Croix LES70MF/ Stella 2500FE/ Tatsu #6.
  17. It's only January and everything you could possibly rearrange, clean or polish is already done!
  18. Wow! Better than Double Black.. .
  19. I agree. When I refer to Yo-Zuri line it's #4 not 4lb test. #4 actually claims a breaking strength of 8.5 lbs; #6 = 11.9 and #12 = 19.5. It would clear things up if the terminology were consistant. #4 should be labled 8 lb test (rounded down).
  20. Here is your chance to become a BILLIONAIRE! http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2014/01/21/quicken-loans-warren-buffett-team-up-to-offer-1-billion-for-perfect-college/?intcmp=latestnews
  21. We have a section in our "Flea Market" called Paying It Forward". You can post your request there. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  22. No argument there. However, if you would like a stronger line with comparable diameter to Ande, Yo-Zuri Hybrid is an alternative.
  23. I agree. Single hooks need a firmer tip than treble hook lures. If you are interested in a technique specific rod, consider MF with a soft tip. Specifically, G. Loomis MBR842C or Avid AVC66MF. Back to the origina; question, I prefer soft swimbaits: Berkley Hollow Belly, YUM Money Minnow, Shadalicious and Keitech Swing Impact Fat. I'm not sure the Rage Tail Shellcracker or Menace are considered swim baits, but you need to give them a try alone or as swim jig trailers.
