It took 25.59 to win the winter trail this past weekend and 25.43 was 2nd. There also was a 10.23 big fish weighed. The weights fell off a little after that but it looks like they are getting ready to go. I will be glad when we get a boat so I can get a dose of it. Be checking back over the next few weeks for some sponsorship announcements for 2014. I am getting ready for a good year on the Tour.

Although there are no industry wide standards, I think most would agree tha Ande is a good proxy. I say this simply because Ande is IGFA certified and has accounted for more World Records than all other lines combined. Ande #6 has a diameter of .010". Yo-Zuri Hybrid is the same. Ande #12 is .014", slightly greater than Hybrid at .013"

I think "catching" has very little to do with equipment, but it makes the other 99% of "fishing" more fun. That said, gear "might" compliment a fisherman's skills, but whether that marginal difference is worth the price is a personal matter.

I keep terminal tackle in one of the compartments of each Plano box. So, each box is "fully contained". I have three boxes with soft plastics ready to go in my Plano 3600 soft tackle bag.

This year's Super Bowl features the #1 Offense vs. #1 Defense. Who could ask for more? I'll be interested to hear from Seahawk fans on who they think will be the deal maker for Seattle. The concensus has always been "defense decides the playoffs". That may very well be the case, but Super Bowls are often lopsided. I'm expecting Manning to put up a lot of points and Wilson to struggle. My favorite rig is a GLX MBR842C/ Core 50MG/ Tatsu #12 dedicated to swim jigs and small, soft swimbaits. However, I think the tip is too soft for bottom contact. These are my traditional jig rigs: GLX MBR844C/ CTE 200GT/ Tatsu #20, BCR854/ Curado 200E/ Kanzen braid with #20 Tatsu leader, BCR893/ Curado 50E/ Tatsu #12. I will probably replace all of these over time with the comparable NRX version.

I'm sure they had to use some added weight, but the set-up was a simple split shot rig.

Well now, the road started in Denver and ended there for the Broncos. In most aspects of life it's all about the journey, not the destination. But in football it's all about the last game. The season is lost without a win at the Super Bowl. Go Broncos!
