The Road To The Super Bowl
Peyton is coming back to Indy this Sunday. I'm sure this will be very emotional. He loved the Colts and the people of Indiana. I'll bet there will be a lot of #18 jerseys in blue & white!

Bass Resource At Trophy Country
I think Glenn caught the biggest bass, around 3 1/2 lbs. For the most part it's numbers and constant action. I caught a small bass on my first cast. ghoti & Glenn caught over twenty in the first hour. Spinnerbaits and soft plastics were red hot, especially the new Rage Tail Cut R and GYCB Senko. I caught most of mine early on a MegaBass PopMax or Vision 110 FX. Later it was NorthStar Original Swim Jig with a Rage Menace trailer. In the afternoon it was all Cut R for me.

Jerkbaits On A 6'8" Mxf
SuperNatural is much softer than Trilene with far less memory. The reason the pro use mono for this particular technique is to have a little stretch. The bite is on the pause, but often not detected until you move the lure again. I suppose the stretch comes into play as a shock absorber.

Jerkbaits On A 6'8" Mxf
I was at a seminar a few years ago when Mike McClelland first introduced the McStick. After his presentation the rest of the guys came up to the front for a Q & A session. Although I don't think these pros use monofilament much anymore, they were unanimous in recommending mono for fishing jerkbaits. I'm using Sunline SuperNatural. It's currently on sale (2 for 1) or $5 per 330 yard spool. Your rod should be fine. My dedicated jerkbait rod is an Avid AVC66MF.

An Apology To Bigbill And Others
I sincerely regret criticizing your choice of equipment, I was TOTALLY out of line. You are a successful multi-species fisherman and someone who really enjoys the sport and the beauty of the outdoors. I wish you the best of luck and hope you have another shot at that State Record fish. You'll get her next time! -Kent
