  1. Peyton talked about playing at his best at the ripe old age of 37. When he can't perform at this level, he will be gone.
  2. Well, as a specific example: I like a big splash to attract curious bass. On the Tennessee River our brown and green fish like Country Music played LOUD!
  3. Wow! Did you see the ESPN interview just now? Man, if you appreciate personal comments from Super Stars, this brought tears to my eyes. The man is a student of the game and really appreciates all the opportunities he has been afforded.
  4. Tonight's match-up is with the Raiders. Denver favored by 14.5
  5. This topic could have gone in several sections, but I think this one will give you plenty of responses. -Kent a.k.a. rtoadwarriort Global Moderator
  6. Ask your doctor. The issue is way too complicated and important to rely on advice from this or any other forum.
  7. Yep, maybe I misunderstood the question. If you are setting the hook with a circle hook you will miss nearly EVERY fish. I fish minnows on the Tennessee River exclusively with Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hooks. My partners and I always try to introduce newbies to the hooks, but a lot of bass fisherman just can't keep from using a traditional set. So, we carry bait hooks, too!
  8. I REALLY don't think it makes any difference. My biggest complaint about red hooks is that the paint wears off quickly.
  9. I suspect the DNR will recommend removing ALL the bass you catch. You probably can't kill enough.
  10. Snap-set: When you detect a bite lower your rod while reeling down quickly. Snap your wrist without moving your arm up. Maintain pressure, reel quickly and raise your rod tip to 11:00. The fish will drive the hook deeper. DO NOT double set. Don't skimp on hooks, sharp points are a requirement. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/124511-your-ideal-hookset-for-t-rigs-jigs/
  11. The SEC has been dramatically improved by their acquisition of the Big Twelve teams. Texas A & M will be a HUGE competitor for at least the next two years. Going forward, Missouri will dominate!
  12. Silly... No shimanos Okay, I just bought a Pinnacle Optimus XLT for $100.
  13. I'm REALLY looking forward to fishing the MegaStrike Mega Tube this fall.
  14. Well, we all spend a lot of money on tackle and gear. There are lots of options for saving money, but hooks and line are too important to skimp over pocket change. I carry a variety of hooks that seem to accumulate just from experimenting with different. Moaner hooks are made by Mustad. I have never had an issue. Owner XXX make a statement and I like them on Siebert Outdoors jigs. VMV are standard on Lucky Craft lures and the Katsuage that Megabass use are killer! I think the Trokar are an advantage for soft plastics, especially with light line. I consider the Daiichi XPoint the best hook made. So, with all that said, Gamakatsu is still my main hook brand especially their Octopus Circle Hooks.
  15. This will cover the vast majority of your fishing: Spinning gear: Yo-Zuri Hybrid #6 (11.9 lb breaking strength) Baitcasting tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid #12 (19.5 lb breaking strength)
