  6. The original Gitzit was designed as a "do nothing" lure by Bobby Garland in 1964. The Mega Tube takes this basic design to a new level!
  7. Send me a PM with your mailing addres. I designed a color combination for Siebert Outdoors that you might like. I'll send you a couple of these custom Storm Series Jigs rigged my way. -Kent
  8. Just a reminder, keep it "family friendly" which includes illegal activities. The policy is non-negotiable. A few posts have been removed. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  9. Direct from VMC http://www.rapala.com/VMC/Hooks/Treble/vmc-hooks-treble,default,sc.html or most retailers: BPS, DSG, etc. However, I suggest replacing with Katsuage: http://www.megabassusa.com/news/guide-upgrading-jerkbait-hooks
  10. Well, I suppose it's all in the eye of the beholder, but "old' doesn't necessarily turn junk into treasure. When my dad passed away I inherited a ton of junk and a few gold nuggets. I have a display I created using a beautiful piece of driftwood for the base. I have original Lucky 13, Rapala, Lazy Ike and Devil Horse to name a few. The other 50 pounds of junk was trashed.
  11. http://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/strikeback-spinnerbait/ http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/cosmic-spinnerbait I replace the skirts with Lumaflex: http://www.jobabylures.com/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=SKL Three color combinations only: white, chartreuse and white/chartreuse
  12. Well, my main rig has LFT Live Magic Shad on the outside arms, weightless with 3/0 Light Wire Offset Worm Hooks. The inside arm is rigged with a 1/2 oz Johnson Silver Minnow. Each arm has a small willow blade attached near the middle. This set-up can be fished at any depth depending on the rate of retrieve. I lost one last month in 30' feet of water.
  13. Mike offers a 10% discount to BassResource members. I think you will be very happy with his work. http://www.delawarevalleytackle.com/
  14. Woo-hoo! The little brown truck just arrived. Have any of you guys fished these new baits?
  15. Rather than casting I suggest a vertical drop and drift or slow troll.
  16. That's pretty cool!
  17. I think you will find the Chronarch will perform better over time, but more importantly, I like to have most new reels serviced before using them. The difference is sometimes dramatic.

  19. I think the point is that higher end equipment and better skills eliminate most of the issues. For anyone new, spinning gear is a MUCH better choice for lighter weights. There are a lot us that have skill and gear that makes this question meaningless, but for those facing the challenge for the first time it is VERY important.
  20. I'm a big fan, but I suggest going with #12 (19. 5 lb breaking strength). #15 is too stiff, retains too much memory and CANNOT be broken when you need to break off.
  21. Hmm... Don't go fishing without it...I use the goo 100% of the time.
