I will be there a little before dawn, then probably fish until 8:30 or so. Don't forget, Sunday is Mother's Day.

Some say leaders are never necessary, others only use them in gin clear water and others tie a leader all of the time. My take is no leader on rigs I am using to fish "moving" lures. For jigs and soft plastics, leaders all the time.

Last week on the RoadTrip the average was somewhere between 25-50 fish per person, but 5lbs+ were mixed in with those numbers. Glenn finished the trip by hooking up with the biggest bass I have ever seen alive! Pickwick and the reservoirs of the Tennessee River offer both numbers and the chance for the fish of a lifetime!

It's a mystery to me. I don't go to any X Rated sites, but for awhille had an add running for all the local (Germantown) Hot Singles that were just dying to meet me...Yeah, sure... For no apparent reason, these adds stopped popping up a couple of months ago. I guess the hot chicks around here just gave up!

In shallow water, weightless soft plastics. In deeper water, jigs and crankbaits. Sometimes the bass are more focused on either "moving baits" or bottom contact so you may need to go with just one or the other.

Pitzen Also known as a 16/ 20 or Duncan Knot http://www.netknots.com/fishing_knots/pitzen-knot I suggest one slight modification: Wrap the line from the bottom to the top. This is a much neater knot and functions much like a noose. p.s. Welcome aboard!

If you fish ledges that's where they found the biggest fish. Most of the guys were catching them shallow, <12'. The biggest bass I have ever seen at Pickwick struck a white spinnerbait (double willow blade) in the weeds at the back of a cove!

Rage Shad, Toad & Menace. With a 1/4 ounce weighted hook (Rage rigged) you can cast the Shad and Toad a mile! They will stay on the surface if you speed up your retrieve just a touch. The Menace can be rigged weightless with a heavy #3/0 Gamakatsu Offset Worm Hook. For topwater, rig the bait with the tail horizontal. Also try the Menace with a 1/4 oz pegged bullet weight rigged with the tail vertical.
