  3. I like his shows, but more importantly, Bill is a great guy in real life. The local guys here in Memphis see him quite often at local BPS events, just hangin' at the store and occassionally on the Tennessee or Mississippi River! The man is engaging. A short conversation and you would think you were his best friend and someone you have known forever. And yep, I have the autographed hat, too!
  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
  5. Very insightful review, but I must take issue with your evaluation of John Elway. John was one of the greatest pasing quarterbacks to ever play the game. Under Reeves the offensive strategy was to emphasize the run during the same era that Marino was feature in a "pass only" offensive game plan. Still, Marin played two extra seasons to catch up with Elway's statistics and never won a Super Bowl. What i think separates John Elway from other "modern era" QBs was his commitment to the team. He was never focused on stats, just winning. He might be best known for The Drive", but his biggest play set the tone for the Bronco's first Super Bowl win: The Helicopter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpJaJM4Cy8o Back on topic..., I think Romo lacks leadership characteristics and has limited talent. Apparently Dallas will continue to support The Boys for another twenty years without winning a play-off game. For such a storied franchise, the Romo era has been pitiful without any relief in sight.
  6. There is no finer line than Tatsu, none... Otherwise, I would recommend InvizX or AbrazX as leaders depending on the application.
  7. I threw swimbaits and some other stuff, but everything was caught on jerkbaits in my boat. The big fish each hour and the Grand Prize for the tournament were caught on The Rig.
  8. Fat Ika with claws, I like it, too!

  11. Although R & B's is noted for their BBQ & Burgers, my suggestion was meant for breakfast. Great country ham, biscuits & gravy, hasbrowns and fresh eggs! A light lunch is fine by me, but I don't skip any meals.
  12. Caught a ton of fish, but only little bass. Best two were 3.49 and 5.71. The 3.49 paid $100 for the Wild Card in the second round. Big Bass ($6,000) was 7.9 which really surprised me. I guess it was just one of those days when the big bass couldn't be found or just wouldn't play.

  14. Congratulations! Rage Tail is a great addition for you. Good luck!
  15. High quality jigs at a reasonable price.
  16. Are you jut being silly? "Surplus line" stays on the spool it came on or is reattached to some other spool.

  18. Picky...you? The effort is appreciated by all Rage Heads...The posse continues to grow.
  19. I don't fish tournaments, but this one kinda intrigues me. A friend of mine asked me to partner up at Pickwick for a "Big Bass Tournament". $190 entry per boat, $600 Big Bass payout per hour, $6000 for the biggest bass. It's probably going to take 6-8 lbs per hour and 10+ to win the "big bass" prize. No points for 5lb dinks! Luckly I know the newly crowned Mr. Monster Bass, OO Mod here in Memphis. After consulting with him this morning, this is the strateg we came up with. Three rigs only: Hud, The Rig and Scrounger/ 7" Fluke. If you have any other suggestions, please post them up. Thanks!

  21. It's either the Rage Lizard or Eeliminator for me!
  22. I think any knot, your favorite knot, will work just fine as long as it is tied PERFECTLY. Plenty of spit and slow down just a tad as you snug it up and finish. I like the Duncan Knot (also called Pitzen or 16-20). Here is another to try: http://ragetalk.com/index.php?topic=3857.0
  23. The Rage Tail Lizard has tremendous action.
  24. The question is: When do you generally catch your biggest bass? For me it's either side of noon, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
